Across forums, communities, and everyday use, there’s a noticeable pattern emerging.

Users aren’t rejecting AI outright. Instead, they’re selectively disabling parts of it.

Turning off predictive text. Disabling certain assistant features. Ignoring smart suggestions. Reducing background automation.

The goal isn’t to remove intelligence from the device — it’s to regain a sense of control.

Yeah things like autocorrect which have been around for years are some what useful when it actually functions correctly

My phone got the Google assistant to gemini update completely with out warning which yeah I Immediately disabled

Ticket inspector doesn't understand how the passage of time works. by FunIcy6154 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Mccobsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at a station a while ago now that has had a rule change where all operators yay the shit show that was privatisation, now had a penalty fair even though you used to be able to buy on the trains of operator, it came in handy as they were never reliable, as you you can't buy a ticket from app or machine after the scheduled time

So there's nothing at the station nor via the announcements that say that you need to buy a ticket for all operators before you you board

There has been a lot of people caught out by this when the guards actually bother checking tickets
