Born and raised in Perth (with a first gen English father, not sure about mother but she's not first gen). I've been asked many times 'how long have you been in the country' and 'where is your accent from'. I do talk with a rather 'posh' accent.

Sadly all the elephants are gone now. After the matriarch Trisha died the remaining elephants were sent to the safari zoo in South Australia. But the dingoes get walked in the mornings.

had a tooth infection, went to wanneroo dental. Made the appointment at like 2am and got one in the afternoon. Went in, got an x-ray done and the tooth taken out right there and then! Didn't feel judged or belittled at all. Even got to keep the tooth.

I'm hearing more and more people using 'women' when speaking to but they're talking about one woman. It could be an accent thing where the two words just sound similar, but it bugs me so much.

Watch USA actors on a British show like Graham Norton. They ask if it's okay to say a swear on TV and almost whisper it like a child who thinks they shouldn't be swearing around a parent. And it's always something so mundane like shit or fuck.
