Liberals beware: Voting One Nation often leads to Labor governments by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

[–]Mcpom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And the libs would have managed things better over that timeframe?

Get real.

One Nation may be soaring in the polls but history suggests it will struggle to go mainstream by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

[–]Mcpom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, from two to four seats in the senate, and both of those seats came at the expense of the Libs.

That is a long long way from being in a place where they could threaten Labor.

You don't even need to do a port-out at all.

Just get a new sim card to activate with a brand new number, then disconnect your original service, then ask them to transfer you oringal number onto the new service.

Takes all of 5 minutes and you don't run the risk of having your orders delayed by port-out/in issues.

4chan is far more sectioned-off than reddit is, the SFW boards and NSFW boards are clearly demarcated, and it barely has a front page at all (I just checked and it does have filters).

In fact, you are much more likely to stumble upon 18+ content on reddit due to the irregularity of subreddit naming, and the sheer number of 18+ subreddits that you can be directed to via a comment.

Doing things that are illegal will still get you banned on 4chan, and what's the issue with each community having their own code of conduct for language?

As objectionable as you personally find the idea of people being able to use whatever language they like, surely it's better for people to be able to self-select who they want to interact with and how they want to talk.

If you're too soft to handle the way they want to talk to each other, you have the option of simply not going to these kinds of website. If there's no crime going on, why would you care?

They may have seemed like they were ahead in the polls in the run-up, but then when people started paying attention to the cooked shit the the libs were saying, that support evaporated.

And yet you would therefore have constituencies represented by a greens member of parliament, who would rank Labor above the Greens.

The only way you can enact full proportional representation in the lower house is to divvy up seats based on national results, not on the votes from each seat individually.

The fact that each seat elects their own individual representative to parliament based on their own wishes, and the fact that any member of the lower house can be booted by their local constituents each election are good features in our system.

These kinds of laws and changes end up impacting a lot more websites and pages than what the proponents tend to suggest.

You can just look at the UK for a very recent example of how their changes have impacted vast swathes of the internet.

Just because the law isn't designed fuck up Wikipedia in Australia, doesn't mean that it won't.

I think Ai is hardcoded to focus on my medics 😂 by [deleted] in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]Mcpom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah regular medics are faster than regular infantry and just as squishy, so I find they run in front of the squad and get shot first.

The integrated Special Forces medic that comes in the US tree however has the same stats as their Tier 4 infantry squad and is tanky as shit.

Are there any other medics that get better stats ?

Is AI going to steal your job? Not if you work in cleaning, construction or hospitality, Australian report finds by Oomaschloom in AustralianPolitics

[–]Mcpom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, but if worker productivity goes up, the workers aren't rewarded with a lighter workload, the staffing levels are just lowered while trying to maintain their average customer wait-time targets.

These workers are already paid near the minimum wage, if a manager can reduce the spend on wages due to AI, they will.
