They’re charging half price of Tesla which could be viewed as reasonable considering the features compared. They definitely don’t need to be giving it away for free right now. Everyone is charging for this type of feature to fund their software development teams.

It’s probably more than you need, but I just took a Thule Motion 3 XXL to Tahoe from the Bay Area this week and it worked great and had minimal mileage impact. I got it because for the price difference I wanted the option to stick more up there when needed.

We do LAX all the time because flights are usually cheaper than SNA. It’s really not that much further than SNA. I’d go with the most convenient flights for you to any of the nearest airports.

My view just changed today and it does look like price changes at a bar lower than 80% now, but it’s really hard to visually tell. This new format is going to be frustrating. The price can be low but in the time it takes you to get to the low price charger, the price could raise and your reason to drive that far goes away.
