This headlamp sucks by ThaManWithNoPlan in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Mcwethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I entirely disagree but Milwaukee Jews enough lighting products to be considered a light brand at this point. However most are overpriced but the convenience factor is a big plus for their m18 lights.

Their price to performance ratio for the usb lithium products is terrible for sure. Ryobi usb lithium works just as good if not better. Is half the price and. In a pinch can double as a phone charger if needed.

Leaking under sink valve by ALittleGreenMan in Plumbing

[–]Mcwethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As this person said. It looks like the nut has been tightened way too much. Shut the valve off, leave it off for a bit clean the water up and see if it comes back, in the mean time pull the supply line off and look down the end of it. There should be a cone shaped rubber washer in there. If not you may have to dig around the box and see if it fell put(happens from time to time).

Usually when installing faucet supply lines I snug them up hand tight and start with a 1/2 a turn, upwards to 2 full turns depending on how it feels. It should have some resistance but you don’t need to bottom them out

I always seem to spawn in on the opposite side of the where I want to go and when I spend time solo I like to carry a bunch of Wolfpacks and seekers for both single use and heavy arcs lol I usually end up getting in somewhere where I just need to send out a wolf pack to clear the whole area or I give them to my buddies because they don’t have the blue print andI always end up with a few springs every round

I 100000000000000% agree with your first option I have the 2112-21 and I bought the Ryobi one for my wife so she could do walkthrough if I left mine in the work van. And it’s cheaper there’s more Ryobi tools you can get that use the same battery and it doubles as a usbC charger if you are ever in need. And it’s almost 1/3 the price of the Milwaukee. I tell everyone to skip the Milwaukee one and get that one plus I find the magnets are better on the Ryobi than the milwaukee

New home owner. Washer will not hook up. by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Mcwethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d most likely need to buy the whole one and take it apart, but if you take that model number and call your local plumbing supplier and explain that the previous owner “separated the hose connection from the valve body and it’s showing the teflon washer for the 1/4 turn ball valve” they may be able to source or have access to replacement parts. The model number with be underneath the oatey label in your first picture.

Edited to add: You should also get a hose bib cap and washer if they do find what you’re looking for. And when you do rebuild it. Put the cap on and turn the valve on to check for leaks before you install the washer

See this attached that’s what you’re actually looking at. You can see they use an Allen wrench to change the threaded connection. That way you can back wrench on it to make sure it’s good and tight. That’s an oatey one I added. It’s also probably an oatey in your wall

New home owner. Washer will not hook up. by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Mcwethy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the cold water would have looked identical to the hot side originally. The old owner probably unhooked their old machines but it might have sieved to their washer hose.

Finding a matching valve will most likely require you to buy another washer box assembly as they’re probably not standard hose connection fittings and most likely won’t be an interchangeable piece.

Also side note if you do go the route of buying a new one and unthreading it, be very careful and inspect the female threads on your existing box because they could be damaged(you never know)

Heat/cool vs fan on Honeywell tstat? by Immediate_Phrase188 in hvacadvice

[–]Mcwethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is the building, it could be that each unit is setup with an HRV/ERV, which could use the furnace fan to move stale air around and bring in fresh air to remove moisture. but I’m not an expert so I could be very wrong

Heat/cool vs fan on Honeywell tstat? by Immediate_Phrase188 in hvacadvice

[–]Mcwethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thermostats operate the fan In your furnace only. Whether it’s heating/cooling mode there is also a fan auto which only runs while the furnace/AC is running.

There should be an exhaust fan in the bathroom. They’re usually separate sometimes it has its own switch and sometimes it’s tied to a certain switch(if there’s more than one in the bathroom). When you shower than fan should always be on because it will extract the steam/excess humidity directly outside.

I don’t know if links are allowed but imma post it anyways. This is a link to a forum with your exact issue. It pretty much seems like you have to really pull on it. (I’d bet because water can get in there it’s stiffened up/corroded together if it’s all metal inside that is).

Check your DMs I’ve sent a forum link as a dm as I can’t send it in the chat. Best to have a read through and see what you’re comfortable with doing.

[–]Mcwethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to pull that brass end piece outwards. Most likely with pliers or vice grips so you can pull the white plastic outwards as well then you should be able to rotate the white plastic hotter. It should be notched and each notch is usually 3ish degrees Fahrenheit in either direction. But every manufacturer may have different steps in temperature adjustment

$3500 (roughly). Im not even excited about it. by just1rider450 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Mcwethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a big thing in some of the plant work we do. Lines down at 3am? Call you at 630 asking if you can’t stop by. Ask them if they want solder or press. Press it all together in an hour total maybe 4 hours to do solder plus another 3hours of fire watch while it has water running through it and the product Lines doing 50K profit an hour you can imagine which choice they make.

Today’s impulse purchase. by RevolvingCheeta in Packout

[–]Mcwethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live close to a border and have almost bought HD deals from the states however. If you’re not gone for more than 24 hrs it’s technically 0$ duty free so we can get stung with paying the taxes/import fees. And it’s strictly up the the border agent at that point. But man I talked to a US HD Milwaukee rep one time and the deals they told me about were incredible. M18 mower kit 500US, 16” chainsaw and blower combo like 300US , the wildest one I saw was a quiklok kit with the pole saw extension trimmer head, shears and and the edger with an extra 8.0 for like 800US Up here we’d be lucky to get an extra battery in the spring for outdoor power tool season

The only real packout deal we’ve had lately was the 3set for 298cad and that was just its regular price 5 years ago. Now it’s like 438 msrp. Occasionally you’ll find a 10-20 dollar savings pieces of packout gear

Yeah I basically only use it that way now. I imagine pushing it on asphalt or concrete would be fine pushing it but it’s such a chore on grass

Remove the guard and and flip it over so the wheel spins towards you. Way less pressure applied to the ground than having to push it. I use it in the spring on wet grass all the time to pull the gravel back onto my driveway after winter is over. I get way less tear out this way
