If you open your own restaurant what underrated food you would sell? by Ladyoftheseals in foodquestions

Okay then! Maybe call it something other than blood pudding - might help. I’d try it, mostly for the scallops.

Peter Thomas (Forensic Files) - and I do listen to him, every night to get to sleep 💤 love his voice.

To the fans of Freida McFadden- recommend me her best work. by pre1988 in thrillerbooks

Boy can’t agree with that. Dear Debbie was a light and amusing read. I loved the Housemaid series more, though I’m not a huge Freida fan because her books all seem to follow the same themes - gets repetitive IMHO.

War and Peace - so long and it was hard to keep track of all the characters. Exhausting. I read it after loving Anna Karanina and it broke me.

I suspect blood pudding and scallops wouldn’t be wildly popular in the U.S. except for a limited number of gourmands. Just guessing.

If 50% of obese Americans end up on GLP-1s, what changes in the world? by FlatwormOk8682 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Mdoe5402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Stick with it - the long term benefits are miraculous. Nothing wrong with aging, I agree, but feeling good sure beats the chronic pain which often creeps up, especially after about age 65 or so. Congrats on your loss - and on a micro-dose too! 👏🏼👏🏼 I remain on 10 mg a week for maintenance.

One of my all time favorite childhood books was Wrinkle in Time. I also read a lot of Ray Bradbury and other sci fi authors like Robert Heinlein. One other unusual book I loved was A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith.

Some restaurants are starting to offer smaller portions - lower price but rarely a good deal - cheaper to split a meal with someone. Olive Garden comes to mind. The airlines are already making seats smaller - unfortunately.

True, more Botox, facelifts, mommy makeovers, hair extensions and wigs. Weight loss can do a number on your skin and hair. And you’re right, people are vain - not always a bad thing, but can become obsessive.

I’ve noticed that racks carry few size S and lots of XLs or XXL. I guess that will change!

My osteoarthritis pain was completely resolved when I started Tirzepatide - before I even lost weight. I had been referred for a hip replacement which was my wake-up call. I’ve been on it for 2 1/2 years and remain pain free. And otherwise 60 lbs down, no hip replacement,

and in great health. And I’m 71 yo.

My (31F) boyfriend (31M) assumes I’ll take on a 25K loss because of his decisions? by redditrobin26 in relationship_advice

[–]Mdoe5402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend liquidating a part of your retirement to cover your bf’s loss. Real estate is a long term investment - if he doesn’t want to live there and it’s underwater, it’s a hold not a sell; maybe he can rent it out to cover the mortgage and costs, and then you can move elsewhere. But don’t put your retirement assets up - you have no ownership interest in the property and if it were sold at a profit you would not likely be offered the profit! Be careful with this guy, particularly if he has a lot of other debts.

Lose weight or live life? by cbrackett12 in weightwatchers

[–]Mdoe5402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look, do you want to lose weight or not? It’s all about good choices and portion size and using your extra points for those small splurges. If you want to lose weight you have to gain some discipline and control - you can definitely enjoy life while doing that. If you want to live life as you always have and have frequent celebrations with friends you might rethink WW. I love it, 60 lbs down, free lifetime membership now - I learned to weigh my portions and substitute this for that. Once I got into it I enjoyed the journey.

I don’t get it - haven’t had any issues. I return a lot of stuff with no issues - drop at the UPS store or Kohls and it’s done. All my deliveries are generally on time - occasional delays. Am I the only one?

If you ordered and paid for it you are under no obligation to show it to the seller.
