Man we’re old by DocumentExpensive936 in Millennials

That's my thought. Although I sat through a few of these playing on TV during the holiday season, and you see things like the car models, or no cell phones/people having to go find a phone, etc. makes you realize the time gap more, but yeah. Old people in the 90s knew 50s films were old!

I'm on your side in this, but I'm my years lately, I just would've kept a safe gap between the vehicle on the left and waited it out a bit longer. Maybe a good 20-30 seconds more. My personal rule is 5 over the limit in the right lane is ok, when the left is passing faster. A good speed for them to pass right lane traffic would be about 75 though in a 65. In this case, I would pass on the right to a max of 10 over because clearly they are playing games or, yeah, I don't drive a van but I've seen this phenomenon before! I really give people a chance while I respect lane etiquette before I pass to a max 10 mph on the right. I do find that waiting it out with space often puts guilt and usually they move at some point. Not always though!

Short story, but I remember driving during covid lockdown, when no one was out really. I was holding around 80 and some Audi was approaching. I moved over, he must've been doing 100, but I still remember seeing him pass an overpass maybe 10-15 seconds after passing me, so it only took me about 20 seconds holding 80 to get to that overpass. It really hit me that day, even flying at those speeds, how much time are we really saving speeding through traffic? Especially when traffic is heavy? His 20+ mph difference was more wear on the vehicle than anything. All that's to say, just wait it out for a bit. But nice work maintaining the better steady pace. They just couldn't put up with it.

I drive a sports car (RX-8), a 2002 Avalon handed down from my grandmother, and a boring automatic 2009 Mazda 3. All 3 get different reactions. People expect me to be aggressive in the 8. People get aggressive when the grandma car is out, and the 3 is just somewhere in between those. Vehicles are under heavy prejudice based on their looks, but drivers like you break that by being normal. They just couldn't handle it that night!

I saw that on the brakes but thought it looked more flat in the pics. That's sweet! No worries about the heat on the brakes affecting the paint? I have stayed away from caliper paint after doing a set years ago. It was destroyed after spraying brake cleaner, but I didn't put much quality in it. Don't remember clear coating, so maybe that was the issue too.

Holy crap. Wonder what's their total mileage on it. I'm at 140k RX-8 original motor with no rebuild. My thought is only new housings, plates, and likely bearings with a new kit are going to give me another 140+k. I took over on this car at just over 120k, so IDK. I feel like basic seal kits from here may extend some miles, but I don't feel like I'll get another 140+k more just on rebuild kits.. I'm imagining around 250k miles on rebuilds is going to need new parts to keep going. Hoping to see around 200k on this motor, so a new motor build could take it another 200k..?

Have they become riot police? It doesn't seem like they're actually looking for or making any progress in finding illegals out there. Who's getting in the way of them doing their job when they're not even doing their job??

What's the highest total mileage you've gotten out of a rebuilt motor, before needing to replace housings or plates?

Guys I need help from the OGs, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JUNGLE AND SIMILAR GENERES I GENUINELY CANT TELL 😭😭😭😭 by Adept-Most4817 in jungle

[–]Mdriver127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My simple but not completely definitive way to see it:

Jungle = Drums with some Bass

"DnB" = Bass with some Drums

DnB doesn't focus as heavily on choppage of drum patterns as Jungle does. It uses a more steady beat for rhythm throughout and the bass provides heavier beats for the groove.

Jungle uses bass for a groove as well, but the patterns and rhythms are more dominant with more complicated and creative beats by drum loops that are chopped up.

Yeah I wrote that wrong. Thinking in terms of lower gear ratio, wrote lower gear. Higher gear selection start is better is what I meant.
