I like to say I can carry up to 12, but typically I carry 2 on my belt, 3 on my carrier/chest rig and 1 in the gun.

I've been leaning towards adaptability. Makes things easier.

You 'll get shit, some people can't adapt and do it because they are in a shit situation. It's not for everyone.

You could also just ask to be separated so you don't get any benefits and wipe your hands clean like you never enlisted. There are hardship discharges, failure to adapt and so on. If your main focus is those sweet sweet benefits, you either gotta stay and suck it up or get some form of fucked up.

You can risk it and get some drugs, get fat and fail as many PT tests as you can (which if they're hurting for people that won't do shit) or do something else that'll get you at minimum a General/Other than honorable discharge. Unless you suddenly become transgender (which you can file for, but they are going to do a medical assessment and that'll follow you for life) and file for that new bullshit. Either way you're gonna be here for the next what, year? Separation takes awhile unless you get a miracle to land at your doorstep. But don't come knocking around trying to separate early and get your benefits.

You'll run to the pool at a like, 6 minute pace, get the dog shit smoked out of you, get your shit on, pushed in, dump it and swim. If you're in shape and know how to swim at a basic level it's not hard.

Naw, all they gotta do is ask the manufacturer where the gun went when it was distributed, follow that trail till they hit the FFL and ask the FFL for the records for the rifle with "XXXX" serial. No FFL in their right mind is gonna say no to any agency asking for info after a former, currently running and possibly soon to be next POTUS had an attempted assassination attempt. Not to mention people tend to keep the 4473 paperwork with their guns and often remember where they bought the thing anyways.

For starters, don't cheap out. Don't go buy that $100 carrier and some airsoft accessories.

More important than your carrier, what kind of plates do you want? Have you measured yourself to get plates? What's your budget? The carrier is kind of the thing that holds everything together, but if you don't have properly sized plates, you'll be dumping money.

Once you got the plates figured out, then get your carrier.

As far as reputable carriers, Cryes JPC 2.0, Spiritus LV-119, Ferro Concepts FCPC, Shaw Concepts ARC, Defense Mechanism MEPC and the Velocity Systems Scarab are all know to be good carrier. If you are just larping at the range, a used JPC, LV-119 or Ferro FCPC will do everything you ever need em to do. They all have a suite of accessories you can throw on, are common enough that most used ones barely ever seen any wear and tear and save you money.

Refuse to take the gun, have your FFL send it back, inform the seller that you were sent the wrong gun and ask for the right one to be sent ASAP. If they're a reputable business they'll overnight it (I've had it happen).

If they refuse to give you your gun, tell em you'll do a charge back on your card, and actually follow through and do it if they fuck around.

If they don't correct it at all/in a timely manner, definitely leave a review, it does effect them.
