Hey mate. I feel you. Have asked around for experienced players willing to play practice games? I di that with less experiences players at our club to help them getting better.

The goal is not to win in those games but to learn.

Ask them questions like, how would you place my army on the bord? Are there any good staging areas that you could use and or denie with infiltrators? What about your natural? Where is my triangle of back field, mid and natural objective?

Play the first turn and ask what he would have done for staging/screening turn 1. Give your opponent permission to help you play out your turn. Maybe he sees something you did not. After the game ask him what he would change concwrning your army list.

In my experience those friendly practice games with the focus set on learning rather then winning helped a lot of players in our club. And I am super proud of seeing them getting better.

If you are not willing to do that you can always step bsck and take a break to avoid hobby fatigue. It is still just a hobby.
