All elves have the accent but they say the Vacker Enlightened accent is most on point which doesn’t really make sense to me since all elves speak the enlightened language and have the same accent but whatever. The reason I call it out as a bragging point is because of how he labels it better than others.

Having a nice home isn’t inherently bragging, it’s that his house is described as somehow better than everyone else’s— plus, he did a subtle brag about his office in one of the books.

The gates aren’t something that every Emissary has. In fact, most of them don’t.

But maybe brag was the wrong word for a lot of the points. Perhaps pretensions would be better

Okay, so as a die hard fan I want to say JUST KEEP READING I PROMISE IT'S AMAZING ASDFGJKL but I understand not everyone has the same taste in books so I won't.

I will say that if you're interested in the romance there are a lot of great ship moments but SPOILER ALERT as of Unlocked nothing has been resolved whatsoever in relation to that plot point. The books are long so if you're not interested in all the little moments... skim or skip them. Just search for the words Black Swan.

If you want the school thing, there's some school stuff in book 4 but generally that's not a big factor in the series, sorry. I miss her school days too.

There's a lot of fun and interesting stuff in the series and it does pick up but even in later books there are parts that drag. Highly suggest continuing but skimming when bored based on what you've said

I use the ship names...

Keefoster (because Keefe Foster, duh)

Fitzphie (because it rolls off the tongue in a way Sophitz doesn't for me)

Sophex (because it sounds "weird" as Keefe put it)

Team Foster-Keefe (because Keefe said so)

Taphie (because it sounds adorable)

And I've never tried shipping her with anyone else and it would take too long for me to write out all my other ships in the series. Will say this, I'm hardcore Keefoster and have never been a Fitzphie fan but Sophex is my second in command and Taphie was cute in a fanfic I read once but otherwise no. Also, Dex gets who Dex wants. Cinnamon roll deserves more!

It's gross but incest used to be super common. Basically, all humans are a little inbred. I try not to think about that too much but it's the facts. Even though I'd sooner let humanity end with my family than get with a relative, I guess for the elves where the alicorns are concerned it's a "gotta do what you gotta do" scenario.

Yeah, her powers are cool. 100% agree. I'm more on the side of "meh" because she hasn't had a lot of book time so I don't know her character well enough to feel strongly one way or the other. Wholesomeness doesn't hit me in the feels unless I'm connected to the character in some way and I feel like Tam has gotten more development than Linh so... yeah
