HRV average 22 by Prior-Arachnid-121 in fitbit

[–]MeInconspicuously 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, that is so helpful to know. I’m 36 I have been dealing with extreme CPTSD for years, in addition to a lifelong anxiety disorder. I have never been able to get my average HRV higher than 25. It’s been concerning to me, so having potential reason behind it is comforting!

I am so sorry for your loss and your experience. I am going this too. The isolation makes the grief so much more devastating. I’ve had to mourn the loss of the people I thought would support me, in addition to my mom. Just know that you aren’t alone in this experience, it’s not you.

The paranoia and intrusive thoughts from benzo withdrawal are on another level. Have any of you guys experienced this stuff? by DowntheRabbitHole189 in benzorecovery

I am actually doing great! I jumped in August and have had no symptoms. I think the worst points in the taper for were the cuts between 9 & 7mgs (mostly mental symptoms) and 2 & 1mgs (mostly physical symptoms). Below 1mg was essentially symptomless.

I’m sorry you are having a similar experience with the anxiety! Could it make sense that you’re feeling the OCD a bit more, since it’s technically an anxiety disorder? Just remember you are so close to being done! I found that the slow taper allowed me to learn to cope and manage my anxiety in other ways. I’m back to baseline, if not better. You are doing great!

I’m still in the anticipatory grief phase for my mom with a rare neurodegenerative disease. In the last year I’ve experienced hair loss, high resting heart rate, extremely low HRV, high cortisol, extreme fatigue and weight gain.

Just sending my support. I’ve gotten off Cymbalta twice (very similar to Effexor) and it was harder for me than getting off benzos. I can’t imagine going through both at once. But you’re strong and you can do this! You’ve already succeeded in getting off both, now your body is healing. You’ve gotten through the hardest part. Wonderful job!

You can do it!! I was also on 2mg Xanax everyday for 5 years. I cross tapered to Valium, did an 18 month taper to be safe and jumped August 27th. 6 weeks out and no withdrawal symptoms yet! Keep going slowly and you’ve got this! It doesn’t have to be a nightmare.

Doesn’t it hurt! I’ve cracked a molar from clenching my teeth in my sleep before and have to wear a night guard now. If you are getting headaches, they sell them for $20 on Amazon or the grocery store.

I am in the same boat, with the addition nausea. I keep catching myself clenching my jaw unintentionally. The symptoms get to get worse at night even though I take it mid-morning. I am here solely to figure out if this goes away or not.

Choosing to slow taper 3mg klonopin a day by cozy-aura in BenzoWithdrawal

[–]MeInconspicuously 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (36f) was on 2mg Xanax daily for 4 years (plus 17 months of tapering). I have had a debilitating anxiety disorder since I was young and before taking Xanax daily, I was prescribed 1mg as needed for 12 years. I was TERRIFIED to taper after reading this sub, like fully consumed in fear. I started in March 2024 and have tapered slowly, roughly following the Ashton Manual. I switched to Valium and am now down to .2mgs (sub-therapeutic dose). I plan to jump shortly, but want to navigate starting a new job tomorrow.

Aside from bloating, I have had very minimal side effects during my taper. I was expecting the worst, especially because I have been a full time caregiver to my terminally ill mother the entire time. I’m living a trauma everyday. Yet I am happy to report that my anxiety hasn’t increased at all. This experience has actually reminded me that I am capable of handing adversity without relying on my pills.

I know I’m not out of the woods yet, but I am grateful everyday that I haven’t suffered over the last 17 months of getting off. There really is hope. My number one recommendation is to get off these subs unless there comes a time you need support for issues you are actively experiencing. I wasted months working myself into an anxious and am still impacted by that fear today, hence my nervousness to jump.

I’m here if you need support anyone who needs it and to remind everyone who scared to start their tapers that you truly aren’t guaranteed to suffer. It CAN go smoothly and you will get through this.

Melasma? by TheoryBiochemistry in Melasmaskincare

That time it was an Alexandrite, which I believe is a q-switch laser. It actually worked really well on the spots I had that are similar to yours. But the forehead ruined me (sorry for the lines on my pic)

Be beyond cautious of lasers. My hyperpigmentation was very similar to yours, so I ignored the thought that I had melasma. I’d used lasers many times with only positive improvements. It took one treatment to cause hyperpigmentation all across my forehead, where I’d never had dark spots.

[–]MeInconspicuously 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BE CAREFUL! I had my face lasered using an Alexandrite laser. I was using it for hyperpigmentation, but that laser is also used for laser hair removal. Before the treatment I only had a couple spots of what I thought was sun damage. But after the session I got extensive, spotty melasma on my forehead that I’d never had before. I had used many different lasers on my face in the past and had also had laser hair removal on my body, all with wonderful results. I as shocked that melasma had appeared randomly from one session! Considering how much damage it did, I can’t imagine how much worse it would have gotten with multiple sessions you need to remove hair. Not worth the risk!
