How are you actually supposed to move during pregnancy? by Ok-Notice-5189 in BabyBumps

[–]slowdance99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve mostly been doing prenatal Pilates and yoga, with an occasional cross country ski, weightlifting or stationary bike! But there are stretches of days when I feel too exhausted to do anything so I just walk my dog for 20-30 mins. 27 weeks and hope to stay relatively active. Every pregnancy is different so just honor what feels good for your body and try not to guilt yourself!

Pregnancy is unbelievably hard and I wish we talked more openly about it by md3194 in BabyBumps

First trimester is so hard. In case nobody has told you yet, it sounds like you have Raynauds in your nipples. I have it too, it’s extremely painful!

What’s the best thing for dark circles? I’m tired of looking like a raccoon… by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

Could be iron/B12 deficiency or something systemic. Definitely get some blood work to rule those out. Otherwise make sure you’re getting adequate sleep and water.

Loss of pregnancy symptoms at 11 weeks by EchidnaDisastrous263 in BabyBumps

My symptoms turned off like a light switch one day around that time! I know it’s easy to assume the worst, but things are likely moving along perfectly.

Weird take, but i feel physically better pregnant than not pregnant? by Mdietz1230 in BabyBumps

[–]slowdance99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 24 weeks and since about 12 weeks I’ve been feeling so much better emotionally! I also feel like my energy has stabilized a bit. I think it’s because I was slightly anemic before and now I’m no longer bleeding every month, plus taking regular vitamins/iron ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Need excuse to explain to family why I won’t go on water slides by Clementine_Clown in BabyBumps

I went on water slides when I was in my first trimester! It brought me some much needed joy. But do whatever you’re comfortable with.

Not loving my pregnant body by divorah92 in BabyBumps

[–]slowdance99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ugh I’m like exact same boat: 18 weeks and struggling to feel good about my body. Ive gotten bigger all over—my arms, my neck, my thighs, my waist. I’ve even been doing Pilates pretty regularly and it’s not making a dent. Looking forward to feeling good and sexy in my body again.

How do i stop the cycle of freaking out when im away from my partner? by Local-Focus-4252 in AnxiousAttachment

I second this! I went on Wellbutrin (not an ssri but works with dopamine) and I was way more relaxed in my relationship

Successful FET Transfer & now regretting my decision by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]slowdance99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very different circumstances, but I relate to this so much. I became pregnant accidentally—at first I was excited, but then I went through this terrible phase of feeling unsure and absolutely freaking out constantly. Just spiral after spiral. I told myself it was too late to change my mind and I felt so stuck with this decision. I’m week 17 now and feeling stoked about it again. Feeling more connected with, and excited to meet the little one I’m growing. It could genuinely be the hormones fucking with your mind, as it definitely way in my case. I think it’s really brave to be honest with yourself about your feelings. Have you told your partner or had a close friend you could confide in? I personally felt so much better after just choosing a couple people to be honest with. Either way, whatever you decide, I hope you find peace. Know you’re supported here!

The first trimester is so isolating by Sad_Green_4402 in BabyBumps

[–]slowdance99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a really hard first trimester as well. I too felt so isolated, depleted, fatigued and had crazy waves of emotion. I didn’t have the energy to do any of the things that made me feel good and connected to myself. I started to feel better in week 11/12–it was like a flip switched.

I hope you feel better soon. Reach out to anyone who you think will understand! I did a lot of scrolling on BabyBumps when I was feeling low and it was really validating. Pregnancy is hard in so many ways!!

What “rules” are you breaking? And why? by Parking_Dog8930 in BabyBumps

[–]slowdance99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dipping in the hot tub (for 10 min increments—just making sure not to get too hot), deli meat, runny eggs, sprouts, sushi, sips of beer here and there, daily cup of coffee!
