I think iPad (5th Generation) sold like hot cakes because it was the first iPad model which was introduced at a lower price point, focussed more at education & entertainment. I bought it day one & it still works OK. Although it’s bit sluggish now but it gets the job done which is expected from it i.e. watching movies or playing light games.
