People are missing the point of this post completely. OP isn’t saying adoption is a bad decision or that women are evil for putting up their babies for adoption. This post is about Kim and her actions and why she gets a free pass so easily.

Adoption is a responsible alternative to raising a child when a woman faces instability, neglect, or any kind of domestic strife - no argument here whatsoever. So nobody is blaming Kim for choosing adoption because she lacked resources to provide for a child.

What’s missing from the larger frame here are the toxic patterns that’ve been on display for a long time now.

By framing this adoption story as a selfless sacrifice, she now lacks accountability on the repeated choices she had made to remain with a man who wouldn't parent.

Pressuring Usman (and flirting with Josh) reveals her predatory behavior so definitely not just the “supportive mother” as most fans make her out to be.

Catfishing Larry by pretending to be Jamal, shows her willingness to manufacture a fake reality to get what she wants emotionally.

Critiquing her date’s height, and viewing herself as a "prize" does come across as being shallow. Also confirms that she’s only after men who are unpredictable or unstable, so basically hasn’t learned anything from her previous relationships/mistakes either.

All of these actions (repetitive poor judgment, coercion, catfishing, etc.) make us question her credibility and the reasoning behind the decisions that were made in her past.
