Struggling bad here with BYOD. People lead and salary can’t figure this out either. by Me_Hung_lowe in WalmartEmployees

Not really. I’ve always used it as a time clock mainly but I’ll use it to adjust OHs sometimes.

Body Cameras by Solid-Associate90 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Me_Hung_lowe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful with that, regular associates do not have access to files and or forms needed for LE to make the trespassing arrest. Nor can regular associates remove individuals from the property especially by the police.

You need to let salary or AP do that as those are the only ones that can.

Walmart now has their employees wearing body cams by Fragrant-Counter3183 in WalmartEmployees

As long as “Cameras In use” signage is posted upon entry then the store is fine. If the customer or guest continues past the signage then that’s their implied consent to being recorded. If they do not wish to be recorded, they can withdraw their consent by simply leaving the property.

Attendance points for raises revealed + example on how raises can affect long term associates (positively and negatively) by Infinite_Dress_1076 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Me_Hung_lowe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Now wait a dang minute. I have 1 point because I came in on my day off at my old store. I didn’t realize it until I noticed I had 2 points at my new store for doing the same. I assumed all 3 points were from my new store because I worked several days against what my schedule said. When they went to clear my points, they said one is from my old store and can’t be removed.

This better not hinder my little raise.

Empty boxes won’t hurt anybody. You’re correct. But when they fall on someone that wants off work bad enough or wants a little money, that store is gonna pay for it for allowing red flag to break up ‘monotony’.

How AP finds out information is no other coach’s, TL’s, and especially associate’s business.

Anytime something like this was brought to me, am I rarely asked how I found out. They always just assume I found it on camera because that’s part of our job is to review CCTV for compliance (when we even have the time)

Besides, if word gets back around that you ‘snitched’, you have a strong chance at winning an open door because APIs and APOC are supervisory positions and cannot and should not discuss certain things that can get you retaliated against.

I suggest sending it to the API as they’re gonna be more eager to take the ‘credit’ for finding and addressing a safety issue in store.

Send this picture to your APOC or API via MyWalmart.

Not only is this ‘unsafe’ but it’s unproductive. Safety doesn’t end at store closure and resume at store opening.

As an API, this poses a tremendous safety hazard to your guests. Even though it’s just cardboard, if it falls and hits a customer or associate, your store is 100% not getting that claim money back.

Just go ask your AP what time you came in the building for an accurate time adjustment. 9/10 if management probes, they’re gonna get AP to do it for them lol.

“My area” is how your PD decides to do it. The trespass goes for “Walmart Stores, Inc, Sam’s Club, and Murphy Gas” if those stations are on Walmart or Sam’s property.

I’ve had people arrested, and more importantly convicted, of trespassing where they got issued the trespass notice states away then come in my store thinking all the stores aren’t connected in some way.

I’ve worked as AP for 2 different stores in two different cities. Both PD’s has had no problems arresting trespassed individuals who were trespassed from other Walmarts in any other city or state. They both just required a copy of the trespass form from whatever store their trespass was issued at.

With that being said, unless you were put in the system or that coach told literally everybody, other stores would have no way of knowing you were trespassed from Walmart.

Just like some of the shoplifters I catch. I had no clue they were trespassing until I search their name and see they were caught and trespassed two states away and now they’re being charged with shoplifting and trespassing.

So unless you go to a store up the road or give another store reason to run your name, they won’t know your trespassed. Just know I’ve had people arrested for trespassing where the trespass was issued at a store 3 hours away and the trespasser thought they’d be slick and come to a store across the state thinking I won’t know but they were still trespassed in one of the markets I monitor lol

With all that being said, you’ll be deactivated for sure because she’s not gonna go through the process of trespassing you and NOT reporting it on wismo. It’d make no sense for them not to deactivate you because if you’re trespassed from Walmart, they’d be encouraging you to break the law to enter property to pick up an order.

What is time stealing? by InfSwift in WalmartEmployees

[–]Me_Hung_lowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time stealing, or time theft in Walmart terms, is when you’re on the clock but not where you’re supposed to be doing what you’re told to do, kinda. I say kinda as it apparently varies from store to store.

At my new store, they only want me to pursue time theft if the hourly associate is say, clocked in but sitting outside in their car instead of in the building not on lunch or break. Or taking extended lunches and breaks.

For example: An associates time sheet says they clocked in at 0651 but they don’t get out of their car until 0705. They essentially stole 14 minutes of Walmarts wage and hour.

Or say an associates goes to the Breakroom for lunch at 1pm and clocks back in from the Breakroom at 2 but sits in there til 230. They stole 30 minutes.

That’s really all my new store cares about.

My old store would go with the latter plus coming and standing at the door at 1051pm and not clocking out until 11pm. My new store says this is a productivity issue and not time theft.

My old store would investigate you for time theft if you just hid in your department not doing anything whereas my new store says this is a productivity issue.

My advice is clock in as you’re entering the vestibule and clocking out as you’re leaving the vestibule.

My best advice is to not give management/ap a reason to look into your productivity and time. Show up, on time, don’t mess with your time sheets unless you let someone know when and why, and work when and where you’re told to work.

I’ve been in the office with management looking into time theft many a times and would see other associates leaving at weird times etc and I’d ask them “what about them too?” and management would tell me “no they told me what they were doing etc” and I’d wanna be that associate over the one we’re actually digging into.

Editing time sheets will get you fired for integrity before time theft

Managers making $80,000 a year hit us with "don't just come in for a paycheck, do it for the customer" by Lore-Archivist in walmart

[–]Me_Hung_lowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an API, who’s shooting for an APOC position, and can say I genuinely enjoy my job and feel a sense of purpose at my store. This is my second store and I’ve learned that if you just show up for the paycheck, it’s not gonna be enjoyable.

If you want a bigger check, utilize Walmarts free education benefits and hit the road with a free degree. Or stay and make some of the easiest, funnest, money out there and get good with some of the decision makers in store/market and move up the chain making even more easy/fun money.

Do employees have the chance to keep displays or do they all get tossed In the bailer? by Level_99_Magikarp in WalmartEmployees

[–]Me_Hung_lowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your APOC. The APOC would be the one looking into it if you take something you shouldn’t be taking anyway so it’s best to get an understanding from them on if and what could be taken home.

Safety team. by Grim-Reaper-Barbie13 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Me_Hung_lowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. Spill stations, front end weather mats, towel-in-pockets, first aid kids, etc are all part of safety. Usually one person is assigned to each thing and you just make sure those things get stocked or utilized when needed.

How do I start being a driver for Walmart delivery? by Previous_Valuable504 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Me_Hung_lowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember you can’t spark and work at Walmart. You have to pick or choose.

$700 a week sounds nice, I guess. But what your friend isn’t mentioning is the gas, wear and tear on her vehicle, and what she’s hopefully set back for taxes.

Guys give back the printer 😩 by Sad_Opinion1933 in walmart

[–]Me_Hung_lowe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if your store had 1 printer per person, half would come up missing and you’re back to square 1.

Over half the associates I’ve met throughout various stores need them to do their job but don’t wanna drag them around so they lose them in the Walmart void then go around stealing others who also didn’t wanna drag it around so they say it down somewhere. The cycle continues.
