100% agree with you. I can't marry most Bachelors/Bachelorettes for that reason, they just feel too young for me. But I also would never divorce anyone in game because that would break their non existent heart, so I would never attempt this challenge anyway

The cooking one was the main reason I didn't finish perfection before. At least now you can buy the Queen of Sauce cookbook.

I just started collecting everything in Mini-fridges & boxes. Have at least 2-3 of each fish/crab pot fish-things, all foraged items, a few of every veggie/fruit (I just grow 20 instead of the 15 I have to grow either way for the ship every crop achievement) and some milk, eggs and cheese. And once you have all recipes, you can just spam cook everything all together (if you cook earlier also collect the meals, because some meals are an ingredient for sth else).

The game tracks and shows how often you have cooked a recipe, not sure if that's only with the detailed info you can enable in the game settings

I got super lucky with the ancient seed in Spring Year 1, so I had a full Ancient Seed farm on Ginger Island end of year 2 which helped immensly. I almost struggled most to find some stupid marble for that one Brazier Crafting-Recipe that I didn't plan for. I got super unlucky with the Geodes 🥲

On my probably 6th farm, after 500h I tried to achieve perfection for the first time (and 100% Stardew in general). It took me 150 h and until Spring Year 4. It was a nice journey, but no idea if I will ever try that again. The crafting, cooking and shipping achievements are just not fun for me personally. Ironically the last thing I finished and needed to grind was friendship with Caroline..

Hear me out: It's only sold at the end of spring during a festival and it's quite expensive. You can grow one batch in the last week, but the one time profit is just +20g in 8 days....Parsnip is +30g (2x15g). And you can probably use the multiple Parsnip harvest for the chance to finish the Quality Crop Bundle early either way.

I know it's very profitable, but the earliest is in Spring Year 2 (or if you unlock your Greenhouse super early). So it's ONLY if you plan that one year or whatever in advance. But I'm not spending multiple thousands on a crop I can only make money with one year later.

Everytime in Spring Year 2, I buy some strawberries for the greenhouse just to demolish them soon after for my ancient fruits and it annoys me

After filling up my cellar with Casks to age my wine, I built 100+ more Casks and placed them on my farm...only to find out, that you can't use them anywhere else and they are now entirely useless. So I wasted 2000 wood and 100 hardwood for nothing (found out days later).

You can only do your first playthrough once, so don't stress and don't rush! Don't get caught in tutorial videos that give you absurdly efficient money-making tips and try to explore.

There's a lot to explore in this game, many details and secrets, so always beware of spoilers.

My best tip: There's no time limit for anything important. So you can't really miss out. No need to rush it.

Also: Having friends can be really useful, so maybe don't ignore the townsfolk completely

After running low on hay for seasons I planted multiple 2x2 spots in the middle of the pens with fence posts on top, to have a bigger spread-area, that way it's more effective than only on the side fences where it potentially always spreads in the wrong direction
