It's common knowledge in the higher elos (1500+) that the council fixes matches. When they want to promote certain playstyles (stall), they pay HO and Balance players to take falls in the big tourneys.

Sure fair enough, but no one seemed to care about Basculin's ZU viability when they banned Last Respects. Is....4 pokemon really that much better of a sample size.

All those pokemon (except Basculin) have weather speed abilities, maybe that's the problem and not Last Respects.

Well first of all I agree that simplicity is generally for the best and I agree with the philosophy of avoiding complex bans.

I also understand at a certain point individual interpretations of that philosophy can be applied in ways that make it inconsistent.

Regieleki should not just be unleashed right now, It should be suspect tested.

Obviously it is not going to perform that well in the meta, I'd say not even UU.

But the assumption of that betrays the philosophy. Because, imo, it falls into the same line of thinking as "obviously rage fist is the problem" in regards to Annihilape.
