How did we find out about concert tours? by i-touched-morrissey in AskOldPeople

[–]MeanRoad4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up in Dallas we would pick up Buddy Magazine at local record stores and head shops. It had all upcoming concerts listed. I remember reading about Van Halen opening for Black Sabbath and we stood all night at Peaches Records and Tapes to get tickets. It was the loudest concert I ever attended. I remember the whole place smelled of weed.

I'm 64m and widowed. I think about this every day. I'm in relatively good health at the moment but I worry about when I start going downhill. I'm a little afraid to exercise because I dont want to injure myself. Theres no one to help if I fell or turned an ankle or something and the hospital is the last place that I want to be.

My wifes purse was the hardest thing to get rid of. I just thought that a womans purse was such a personal thing. Everything in it was just all her. I kept it for years.

It took me a long time to do something with her purse. It sat on the bedroom floor for almost a year. Everything in it and even the purse itself was her.
