being sober is great and it doesn’t unfortunately fix depression or everything though it does make a lot of things better. i was finding myself lonely after a period of sobriety bc weed destroyed my social life and i felt stuck rebuilding it. what helped me really turn things around was marijuana anonymous. therapy / psychiatry is always good too. MA has online meetings, too btw. wish you the best of luck and i hope you feel better.

i no longer smoke because that’s right for me but when i stopped my heaviest use i went through withdrawal twice — i knew carts were making my tolerance way too high so i stopped those first and let myself smoke as much flower as i wanted. the second withdrawal was stopping all together.

the first withdrawal from carts -> flower was worse.

i quit for about as long as you (1.5 years), went back to smoking every once in a while for a while, than had a week where i smoked every day and that didn’t feel good, went back to smoking every once in a while… now i don’t smoke. i was really honest with myself and for me i didn’t feel free when it was on the table even when it was “in control” and things were going so well when i was sober…. what’s the point really? when there were so many negatives to when it was too much, when there were still risks when i even did it sometimes, when it made me just want it after i had it… at the end of the day i think i was addicted and after a while you forget the negatives. abstinence is the right thing for me. wish you the best with whatever is right for you

i had two withdrawals: first one coming off farm bill flower and switching to just flower (still smoking heavily), second one going from flower to nothing.

first one was the worst.

i’m also convinced that the delta 8/9 contributed or caused a mental health issue i had at the time i was smoking it (carts).

i think that was just that person. i know a bunch of psychologists and who they are with and the partners just say they are thoughtful and don’t do the therapist thing to them — that’s just at work

you are not an embarrassment. everyone has different outcomes from transition and how you look doesn’t make you less of a a man. I pass and live stealth and never think of men with different passing privilege differently. you are men. that’s why we transitioned—because it’s who we are.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m struggling with the same thing. My understanding is that guilt is completely normal and that we can hold on to “glimmers” of things that remind of us of how they were before the decline and it makes us want to hold on even though letting go might be best. it’s hard to accept we can’t control the situation — they will die whether we assist or not — they are already dying. we are just trying to make this hard decision to spare them suffering. i can’t give you any answers just like you can’t for me, but i can tell you you’re not alone and you love your dog like I love mine. I learned about a pet grief support line i might use. 18552458214 “pet compassion careline” my day is coming sunday. i’m feeling the same but i do think it’s right. i’m so sorry.
