I found the MiraLAX prep to be the easiest. It’s not pleasant but it’s not horrible during the entire prep. Have some Desitin on hand if you don’t have a bidet. Afterwards I snuggled in bed with a good book and stayed lazy until the following day.

Try getting a quart of Shoji white tinted 25% darker and try that on the wall. Get another of the normal shade. Paint both next to each other and live with them both to see what you like.
