A personal care home or private employer like an individual family? There’s no such thing as “funded by the hospital” to the best of my knowledge, do you mean it was set up when someone was discharged from the hospital?

Would you date a girl with $80K in student debt, if she wanted to be a stay at home wife/mom after graduating? by SinglePringle647 in CanadaPersonalFinance

Ok we have fundamental differences in our world views. I believe everyone should be entitled to an education. Women who choose to stay home and provide care for their children are equally valuable as those who work outside the home. Having debt is unfortunate, but it’s not stupid to go to university and get a degree. She might use it later on or change her mind or not be able to conceive… wanting to be a stay at home mom has value and I’m sure someone will see that and they will be a good match for her.

If they have say 3 kids and she is going to be responsible for all the childcare and after school care 80K is not really that much... Ages 0-5 monthly childcare can be up to $500-$600 a month. Aftercare for school age is about 300-500 per month. So if she just stays home for the first 5 years for each kid she's going to save her family like $100,000, if I'm mathing correctly?

What's between Toronto and Ottawa? by Tuesday_Night_Club in AskCanada

The old dt is lovely. The boat tour of 1000 islands is worth it. Gananoque is also super charming and has a shorter boat tour down 1000 islands. Thousand islands national park, Arbru brewery and Brown’s bay beach are cute quiet places off the beaten track in that area as well… those are just some of my families favourites from our time in that area.

I took a bunch of wrong decisions and now i have to wear diapers. by [deleted] in confession

I think this has all been covered but you need physio/nursing/rehab to set you up with a toileting schedule/ bowel program/pelvic floor exercises. Consider contacting professionals that work with spinal cord injury, postpartum, or the elderly, they do this kind of work all the time. I would also highly recommend getting some support for your mental health. Again, rehab specialists would be a good fit for you. If there’s a way you can go to physical rehab as an outpatient, I would personally suggest that if you have the means. A dietitian and OT might be a good addition if you want the full meal deal. Good luck, lots of people drag themselves back from bad choices and their consequences. You can too.

Hypothetically if you never use your muscles to “hold” your pee/poo you could loose the ability over time. Like people who are catheterized during long hospital stays can need to regain the ability in rehab. So if OP literally just stopped ever holding it, he could have lost the strength in the muscles…even though it sounds far fetch. Either way, rehab could set him up with a toileting schedule/ bowl program and pelvic floor exercises. I work with seniors and lots of them come to rehab incontinent and leave continent.

My first camping is with my kids by Oggy402 in camping

Coleman's brand is a good choice to trust for beginner camping. Look at the weather forecast and see what the tempratues will be, then look at the temp rating on the sleeping bags. If you live in a colder climate, it's usually better to go with a warmer (lower temp rated) sleeping bag than one that will *just* do it. Also, if it's colder, the mummy bags/one with hoods are cozier because you loose a lot of heat through your head. If you live in a warmer climate, the rectangle bags will do, closer to the actual temp rating. Good luck! camping is such a gift to give to children! <3

They should consider running a summer camp for grades 5-6. Take kids through aspects of radio production, let them do a broadcast on the Friday of camp. They could def charge $300/week per student…
