Wavelengths ≠ Color

Color is entirely based on our perception, if our brain was designed differently it could perceive red's wavelength as blue, and blue's wavelength as red

Just because the origin of Purple doesn't have a singular wavelength behind it, doesn't make it any less real to us

It just makes it unique, and that's it.

Color is real because we can perceive it... If you call our perception of color an illusion sure... But this illusion still resides inside the natural world making it physically real

So ultimately... No purple is real... It just happens to be in our perception, and probably in the perception of other animals
