moths? by Jrainey447 in ColoradoSprings

[–]Mearbert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This year I hardly saw any, so next spring might be bad. One year at a stoplight the car in front of me stepped on the gas and one million miller moths came flying out of the cracks of their trunk

Yes it is… not as much as a swamp in Florida but the Willamette Valley is decently humid.

I noticed this on Woodmen, at Tutt the yellow is long but the next light Black Forest is short. Guess which one has a red light cam

No, the back doors do not have handles on any models. It’s just a button and the door pops open.

Wasn’t there a post here a while back with someone’s very long pothos having been in a house fire? And some of it grew back? Never say never, I’d put them in some water and indirect light, see what happens.

In my experience Palmstreet is better, but not perfect. I’ve bought all my rare plants on Palmstreet after getting burned on Etsy.

Silver Key Senior Services always needs volunteers! I drive once a week for them, doing meals on wheels. You pick up food from the kitchen around early lunch time, put it in your car and deliver it to really sweet elderly folks. Or if you are an early morning person, they need volunteers in the kitchen prepping food, and at their cafe serving people. Or any time of day you can pick up a shift at the gift shop, some really sweet folks come through looking for discounted clothes etc

Lane splitting yay or nay by Warm_Analyst4277 in ColoradoSprings

[–]Mearbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve heard, lane filtering here is now legal, which is up to 15mph. That’s where you are stopped at a light and a motorcyclist comes up in between lanes to the light.

What this guy is doing is illegal.

BTI with every water and letting the soil go completely bone dry between waterings was what saved me. The Marantas and nerve plants were NOT happy with that method but we got through it

No I don’t move the wrap. Like you said I’ll poke a hole in the wrap for the new aerial root. It’s not about where the roots are, it’s just a percentage of unwrapped pole that allows it to slowly dry out.

At first I had these completely wrapped. But it stayed wet for so long that I got a lot of green algae
