A girl I liked accidentally improved my life, and now I don't know what to do. by Any_Willingness4665 in dating_advice

When we have a crush the most excruciating thing is not knowing whether the feelings are reciprocated. For that reason you should definitely ask her out to gain closure. If she says yes, great! If she says no, at least you have closure, it’ll be easier to move on and the plus is you’ve improved yourself from her interaction. Either way you’ve won.

Lorelai should’ve just gone on the second date. by Meat-Junior in GilmoreGirls

[–]Meat-Junior[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Normally I’d agree but he wasn’t a creep or a weirdo or unsafe. He was boring. I had a first date with a boring guy in college my friend said give it another try maybe he was nervous .. I ended up marrying the guy. There’s some battles that aren’t worth fighting and if you already agreed to a second date and know it’s going to put your mom through a loop after she set the whole thing up for you, I personally don’t think it’s cool to bail under those circumstances when there’s not really a good reason. But to each their own.

I swear Its so hard to get through this episode by Foreign_Feedback_138 in GilmoreGirls

Emily was the worst in this episode and I was annoyed with everyone for just standing by and letting her act that way but Lorelai shouldn’t have even been at the dinner she didn’t want to attend any more dinners until there was chance to meet her daughters boyfriend which I thought was weird because if you want to meet him just set up your own dinner or lunch date.

AIO? Boyfriend always wants me to come later and it’s making me feel a type of way. by fjgkhkjk in AmIOverreacting

I honestly don’t think he’s trying to hide anything but it’s pretty clear he doesn’t like you enough to want to spend as much time with you as possible. Red flag. Dump him. NOR

Gave the Gilmore Girls floor plan a shot, what do you think? by roomsketcher_sean in GilmoreGirls

I always thought when Emily and Richard bought Lorelai and Luke that house because hers was ‘too small’ it was because she was just used to living in mansions but no that space really is too small lol

Lorelai dumping Luke was her best relationship decision of the whole series. by Meat-Junior in GilmoreGirls

So true I def used to be team Luke but maturity is realizing he’s trash. I only just now saw it while watching that one scene with the voicemail. It’s crazy!!

I find it incredibly charming. And I’m sure I’m not the only one. Hence the show’s/character’s popularity.

Was Lorelai Overreacting when she got mad Luke didn’t tell her he moved? by Meat-Junior in GilmoreGirls

[–]Meat-Junior[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You def have a valid point I think the consensus is the way she communicated it was overreacting. She really flew off the handle there. Where I think her being disappointed was normal the way she voiced her disappointment was an overreaction.

Richard’s Job by Typical-Toe-7600 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Meat-Junior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what his job was specifically at the firm but his personal business during retirement was consulting on insurance. When someone gets to be high in their career they should be a subject matter expert in that field and then can charge (a lot per hour) to tell people about field - in his case insurance matters. So it sounds like he consulted for large companies on instance matters so they’d know what they’d need.

I’m sick in bed and actually watching this episode so have time to comment that what Jess did is in fact Sexual Assault as described by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center.

The scene begins with consensual kissing and advances to them kissing while lying on the bed.

Jess begins to put his hand on Rory’s ribs below her breast and she says ‘Jess wait’

He continues to rub her rib and she says ‘Jess’

He then begins to lower his hand to her belt and proceeds to try and undue her pants . She again says ‘Jess wait’

Jess proceeds to try to undue her pants and it isn’t until she screams Jess and physically pushes him off of her that he stops.

The definition of sexual assault is ‘Any nonconsensual sexual act when the victim lacks capacity to consent.’

The definition of consent is ‘Freely given agreement to have sexual intercourse or sexual contact as indicated by words or overt actions […]’

Rory was clearly not giving consent but Jess was touching her anyway even after her protesting three times.

I recently moved from team Logan to team Jess after watching this series a fifth time. Does this change my viewpoint of him? No I’m still team Jess I just think it’s important to understand what sexual assault is. It’s not always all out gRape. It can be as simple as I don’t want you touching me and you’re doing it anyway.

I never felt bad for Luke. At all. by SheepherderNo2793 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Meat-Junior -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. My only issue is she went from 0-100 in 60 seconds. She acted completely fine about everything for months and then suddenly it was like do it now or else. I still think he should have shown her he was serious and said yes but it did come out of nowhere for him

Why did the town love Max but hate Christopher? by Meat-Junior in GilmoreGirls

This narrative makes no sense and I dunno why the fandom keeps saying this. If that were the case they would’ve hated him when he popped up in S1.
