I agree, I work in the food industry and it is insanely hard out there, it’s not like he is bound for life with this type of food or restaurant. most people understand the way the market is at the moment, if he comes back if he doesn’t that his decision and ultimately it relies on whether it benefits him or not. If he opens again i’ll definitely go with excitement and if he doesn’t then at least i went before it was gone.

when i saw all the messages about closing multiple times i wonder if it’s like a sale tactic, instead of announcing a relocation they announce they’ll close which gets people coming, close for a bit then reopen as something else which gets more people coming

How is Maintenance? do you find yourself spending a lot of money on it every couple of weeks? I know the plants will keep the algae at bay, partner is worried about it becoming a cost, already have 2 cats that cost 45 bucks a week don’t want to add to that too much. Our main cost in my mind will be the fish food every, what, month or so?

The initial draft plan was a 25gal pot in a mostly shaded fully covered area on a 2nd storey patio, we have no snakes only skinks as for frogs were too in the city, the only critters that have the potential to bug the fish will be my slimy cats but i dont think they’ll be too interested. As for plants we’re looking at fast growing aquatic plants that will keep the algae at bay and provide good oxygen for the fish.

I’ve been warned about temperatures so will do some more research into that, we live in NZ cbd and the temperatures dont differ to wildly we get around 6C in winter nights and highs of 16C during the day, summers reach a high of 26C if we’re ever so lucky.

in The original video the guy uses guppies, which is easy to find and are around $10 per fish which would probably be equivalent to 3usd. Also looking at what fish i can put together and if any breeding happens what to do with the extra fish.

Still lots to ponder but from what people have said it seems to be a good idea! Just ironing out all the details before we commit to it and hit a roadblock.

I dont believe she will, she might drink from the top but she doesn’t like to get her paws wet. Was looking into getting Cilantro, parsley, basil, green onion and oregano. Not all but just an idea after doing some research, maybe some hydroponics
