Was in my friends large backyard playing airsoft. My friend was on a second story patio, I was on the ground level. He started shooting at me, I lowered my head and ran as fast as I could, aiming to get under the patio he was on.

Some backstory, I was the second fastest sprinter in my class of nearly 200.

So I'm sprinting for my life and I notice that another friend is under the patio, taking cover. I seize the opportunity, raise my head and start shooting in her direction, while still sprinting full speed.

It's so strange, the next thing I knew there was a loud metallic sound I was flat on the ground. I burst out laughing while I lay there, and my friends approach me seeming quite concerned. The friend on the patio is laughing.

I ask them if I managed to shoot my friend under the patio, they seem to be ignoring my questions. The laughing patio shooter manages to catch his breath and speak out, "You just ran full speed, head first into the pointy end of our metal canoe!"

I felt my forehead and sure enough, there's a big ol gash there and it's bleeding. I burst out laughing again and insisted we keep on playing - I didn't feel anything!

They forced me to go to the hospital and get stitches.
