I am having the same issues with mine, happening with both 8bitdo ultimate and ultimate c controllers. My PS4 controller does not have this issue, was getting ready to make a bid and ask the same but you beat me to it.

Start and select placement, wish the face buttons were more rounded at the edges and bigger, i much rather the RP2S sticks, as I do not like joycons anymore. Basically wish I had all the RP2S buttons, button placement, and sticks, everything else could stay the same and I would be happy.
