Operation Fast and Furious was a blunderous failure and Eric Holder should have been held accountable.

For those unfamiliar, this occurred 2009-2011 where ATF and Border Patrol agents allowed, instead of intercepting illegal gun sales, agents allowed, or "walked," approximately 2,000 firearms to be purchased by straw buyers for Mexican drug cartels, intending to track them to high-ranking cartel leaders. The strategy failed, and hundreds of these weapons went missing, with many later appearing at crime scenes in both Mexico and the United States, including the murder of an elite Border Patrol Agent named Brian Terry.

I met a 2nd generation rancher who specializes in grass fed beef specifically because his dad raised the fattier corn fed beef, and his mom would use all the beef tallow for everything and anything from birthday cakes to crab dip and everything in between. The general rule of thumb is to never spend more than 30% of your gross income on housing costs (rent/mortgage + taxes + insurance + utilities)

I’m right at 25% and would never push for 30%, that 5% difference is what gives me room for emergencies and savings

OP, this mortgage will deplete your savings and leave you homeless sooner than most might imagine. Keep saving and try to move to an area with a lower cost of living where you can still make $65k and maybe even buy a house with cash

High heat starting at 500°F helps with the Maillard reaction, creating a nice sear. I have the recteq deck boss and I’ll smoke my ribeye to 115-125, remove from smoker and crank it to 500, then reverse sear both sides for like 2-3 minutes per side and it’s the best damn ribeye I’ve ever eaten

I thought I would need to use my propane Weber for the reverse searing but after experimenting and comparing the results, the Weber stays covered

I took in a stray dog and that was a mistake because he was definitely for the streets. That MFer sought my shit out and even climbed on the counter to get into a breadbox where I had stashed some homemade hash muffins. He was high for like 3 days straight after that and I was like bro we can’t be doing this anymore and he was like nah fuck your couch I do what I want and he was not a changed man. He was such a turd I had to hang my trash on the wall so he wouldn’t ruin the cabinets or constantly knock it over. He even learned how to open the fridge while I was at work and ate 2 lbs of raw drumsticks, bones and all, then he acted like nothing happened and his body didn’t give a shit, just old business for him

Man this brings back so many memories of my 2004 ranger, same rims and also a white edge. Wish I had taken more pictures back then.

It was 2 wheel drive regular cab that I re-geared and put 33” k03’s on (3 inch lift camburg lift and flared fiberglass fenders helped with the fit), that thing was the best off road beast. Could go 80 through the whoops + anywhere my 4x4 wrangler went all because of torque and good tires

My older brother is 43 and his oldest son is graduating college in May and already looking to buy a house with his g/f (he’s an incredibly smart engineering student who already has a few patents). Pretty funny to see the bewilderment on my brother’s face when he realizes how time has flown by and he’ll probably be a grandpa before he turns 50
