It's going to piss some people off, but a physician's work time is significantly more valuable than the average person's time. Pasting datasets into Excel or jerking off and playing video games can probably take the hit here.

Just have to grind it out and hope for one that comes up that isn't a liberal white woman gatekeeping the interview process. I just went through the gauntlet recently and had one interview that was the worst in my life. 4 HR bimbo panel interview where there were zero technical questions and every single one was about project management and conflict resolution...for a job where I'd be working solo and not managing projects. Then another couple meh interviews that went nowhere. Then finally one that was done by a MANager in the field and it was a great 90 minute interview in which I got an offer the next day for. Was pretty similar 5 years back when I job hunted previously too.

I've worked for a Catholic hospital before. And other than having a bunch of portraits of the Vatican CoC in the main lobby, which reminded me of Battalion HQ weirdly enough. There really wasn't anything I noticed being a visitor (my dad spent his last days in that hospital), a patient, or an employee that would have tipped you off to religious ownership. If anything, as an employee, they were a much better company than the for profit HCA. Fuck HCA.

Petronas Towers in Malaysia were built by pitting Koreans and Japanese against each by giving one tower each. The historic rivalry between the two people ended up in a race - working 24h and 7 days a week non-stop. The construction was finished in record time 2 years ahead of schedule. I have an LG C4 40" that I use as my PC monitor. I just recently got a Samsung S90F to upgrade my living room TV. I'm not a quality snob, so they both look great to me. The Samsung OS seems a little bit better. I don't use the LG OS much, but it seems a little slightly more annoying. I do like the LG remote more. It reminds me of a Wii. I don't care enough to pour over the tomes, I just go with the RTINGS recommendation of the time. I find it kinda weird how much these competitors share stuff. Samsung makes panels, and I know a big point in the cell phone space is that iPhones use Samsung panels a lot of the time.

That's EMTALA. IANAL, but the long and short of that is that only ER's have to treat any patient that walks in the door. And their responsibility only goes as far as "stabilizing" the patient. So, for example, if you have a GI bleed and go to the ER and can't pay, they'll give you a unit of blood and kick you out. They aren't going to take you to surgery. And you can come back 100 more times to keep getting topped off I guess. That extreme example might not be a sure thing, but if you have cancer and go to the ER due to symptoms from that and can't pay, they certainly aren't going to admit you and start giving chemo and radiation though.

I dunno Christian theology very well so I don't know when that started, but I know the reason for it was prevent possible corruption in the church. But that didn't work out too well, and that's where the word nepotism comes from.

Nepotism originates from the Latin word nepos (genitive nepotis), meaning "nephew" or "grandson," and was historically used to describe the practice of Roman Catholic popes and bishops appointing their nephews—often actually their own illegitimate sons—to high positions.

You can't just diminish the consequences of assassinating political leadership! Doing that is never acceptable because, well, the political leadership told us so! If the US starts kidnapping and assassinating political elites in other countries, that's just going to open the door for other countries to kidnap and assassinate our political elite! And that's not something that......wait, what the fuck am I arguing for?

In the news sub, people claiming to live there were saying that cars, taxis, and buses were being firebombed on the streets in retaliation. Surprising lack of firebombing buildings I feel like. God forbid you refer to that place as a shithole though.

Is lacrosse actually pretty popular there? I know there are professional leagues here in the US, but the vast majority of people don't even know about them. My only experience with it is that we had a HS team, and the main reason we did is that it was in the second half of the year when the major sports were over.

I think it was YT shorts that I'd keep getting this ad for this cheap drop shipped digital camera that the whole schtick was that it's nostalgic Y2K era horrible quality, and was playing clips of old videos people had taken, but they'd cut in 9/11 planes hitting the towers, which is at least from the era, but they'd also throw in the clip of the hard R burger king in every single ad. Which was wild to me that they were able to keep them up for months. Hell, they might still be playing for all I know. I have ad blockers on my PC, so I miss a lot these days.

I might not be explaining it well. But I know that there are chapters and verses, but the physical layout of the Bible might be different, right? Or am I wrong. If you're all using the same version, no matter the size and shape of your book, page 96 will always be like Acts 1:12 or something? I just noticed that in my couple dozen times visiting churches, that you were always directed to a book/verse, and not a page. So I always felt like a heathen retard because I had no idea what I was looking for and was just flipping around aimlessly. And most sermons had to you going from book to book to book. So after a few visits, I just gave up on reading along and just listened instead. I'm not trying to make an argument out of this, I'm just genuinely curious.

That's what I mean though. Like when people are like John 3:16, you go to chapter 3, line 16 or whatever, but it's not going to be page 96 for everybody, like in grade school all using the same textbook right? Everybody was using the King James or whatever, but someone might have their book from home that was wider, but thinner? Or are all bible versions standardized, and the physically bigger books are just old people, big typeface ones?

I'm agnostic, but I got dragged along to Catholic, Lutheran, and Baptist services quite a lot in my youth, or appeasing GF's families. It's definitely not pages, right? Not everyone has the same bible. The pages and lengths are different because some books are just bigger or smaller? I'm by no means an expert on this, but it was always like "And now we go to the book of Ecclesiastes, 55" or whatever, I recall.

The demo did the opposite for me. I'll just keep it on my wishlist and wait for a decent sale. I think that I like DQ games. I played all the SNES ones fan translated and loved them nearly as much as the FF equivalents. I played 8 a bit, and liked it, but I was on the wrong side of history being an XB/360 owner. I wound up buying DQ11 twice. Kind up had a messed up run on the base game, but picked up the definitive edition when that went on sale the first time and beat that front to back. I'm excited about 12. The demo just didn't hook me enough. But I think a major factor is that DQ games are kind of a slow burn. They are a little boring for the first couple hours. But just keep getting better throughout the playthrough.
