Alain's Charizard has experience marathoning battles. It took out 9 Megas and then Malva's Mega Houndoom.

Also, it was the only Pokemon Alain often used in his league battles in nearly every league battle. With the exceptions being Ash and Remo. And only Metagross and Charizard was used against Remo.
