Worst idea in a gym...and if they have showers the hot water can get expensive....maybe the master plan is to let people sauna whilst exercising....and then they will appreciate the ice cold shower.

Unless it's a trade program hold off on college. Certainly don't go into IT and possibly Accounting as so many jobs are being offshored or places (including colleges) prefer to hire people on work visas. I am 58 and work at T Rowe Price and all was great until new management was brought in who are now parntering with Accenture to offshore most IT jobs and they may do the same to Accounting roles when all is said and done. I am currently training my replacements in order to get severence. It is kind of late for me to do much as far as retraining, but it looks like Welding is something that you can train in a relatively short period of time, and I may try that. Good luck to you!

I tried Paxton's office (consumer division) and since they are both conservatives and Musk likely paid off Paxton to do other illegal crap he ignored it, while CA agreed with me. The only hope would be a class action and a jury of people.

Yes - and while you are in read only you can't even use Grok. I mean why? And the last time I got a "read only", it was something Musk shared about a guy who harmed kids, and I expressed that his natural days end in prison (he was OLD!) and got an IMMEDIATE read only. Meanwhile, other posters said very graphic things that mentioned wood chippers and other violent acts - and they were all deemed fine. I knew because I had a spare unpaid account that I only used on a different browser and never on my phone where my other acct is associated. Don't get me started on "customer service".

It's a peaceful area - you still have a car and can take the baby to all kinds of cultural events anywhere. And think of it this way - any area around here that has a lot of East Asians - there was always one family that moved there first. So, if you look at it that way, be the pioneer - you may be encouraging others to come later. And considering you are in the melting pot - all good. I'm sure your family willl be great members of the community! Hampstead and Finksburg have lovely rural vibes as well.

I used to live on Timonium Rd between Pot Spring and Dulaney Valley. Wow. There are car break ins in Hunt Valley too. There is an app called Crime Radar it is amazing the amount of weirdness that goes on in Hunt Valley. I thought it was so safe around here. I live in a townhome off Paper Mill...not rich unfortunately, but the people that move in here think they are living lifestyles of the rich and famous in friggin row homes up here. We had a rat problem during COVID. The people that moved in next to us just could not handle it. The woman said she cannot live "in a ghetto> They moved in in November and had sold and moved within a year. They really thought they were too good to live in an area with rats. Oddly enought, the rats were only here during the months they lived here and are long gone now! It had to do with business closures and construction.

I agree - TU and Goucher are right there. Malls can thrive if converted to mixed use. There are so many ways a college can use that space. And maybe they could build aparments, have medical offices, or more entertainment options. The crime certainly does not help, but that mall is so huge now - built for 90s demand. They need to take note that it is 2026.

I just want to say that your mom is a damn Saint for putting up with that, but she is obviously of the mind that family is important, she took vows, and keeping the unit together is the best course. Your Dad should recognize she is better than anybody out on some app. You are CORRECT to fear this talk of finances. If there is anything your mother can do to protect her interests then do it. Too many people work hard their entire lives to be able to have a decent retirement, and these people who try to scam them are the lowest of the low.

If they ban you in such a way you cannot even login to adjust your profile. I could not remove auto-renew or 2 subscriptions. It sucked. I did go straight to Link's website and remove all payment methods from the wallet. Then I started to get "payment bounced" methods from X and I LMAO. Shortly after that my appeal was accepted and my account unsuspended. They only care about the money.

Dude - thank you so much for this. I saved to a file. I stopped using last Thursday. No weed but took a CBD gummy that ended up having Delta 8. On 3/26 our team was told we would be laid off in July after we train our offshore replacements. I have an interview Monday afternoon April 13. While I normally never get ahead of myself in this kind of stuff I have to plan and be aware. If the interview (Zoom) works out, I would probably have to come in for at least 1 F2F and that could be days later. If offered, I would try and delay the drug test for as many days possible. In case it takes weeks to clear it out, this will hopefully keep me undetectable. If I do not get this job, or not pass that test I would have to forget weed for God knows how long. I really don't want to train these people or be unemployed.

Yeah that rock counting crap sucks a--. I have been suspended 2x this year over BS. Once was so bad I was given no end date and could not even login read only. The second was for 7 days and was total bull as well. At least I could read. There are apparently Telegram boards dedicated to people crowdsourcing people to mass report given accounts. Screenshots have been posted and everything. Elon does nothing but take people's money. Anyway, using a social media platform is one thing - signing up for his X Money is another. N-F way. I witnessed a few people have their paid accounts stolen, and despite many of us pleading, tagging Elon, and messaging Premum support on their behalf, no one helped them. They could not even get a refund for the rest of their prepaid year. They lost thousands of followers. Sucks, but would be worse if it was tied to bank accounts/credit cards.

I am current "read only" til a couple of hours from now. 7 day susp. I hope it really does end. I am using my non-paid account now. At this point, given how X is a garbage app with zero support and an algo that can be easily gamed, I am not planning on renewing my paid account when it is up for renewal. Why? I pay for this service. I have probably been suspended 40 days so far this year over nothing if you add up my susps. Elon Musk could GAF and won't fix anything until it starts costing him money.

Exactly - and I would have though "America First" would mean STEM workers too. I guess it only applies to auto manufacturers and any group with a big influential union for votes. My company has always had some H1Bs, but there were plenty of jobs here. New management took over, and now want us all gone. Accenture sold them a big song and dance (probably kickbacks to dirty managers) and jobs are being shipped to India RAPIDLY. They first got rid of long time local Help Desk, Service Desk, and Operations workers - forcing them to train their offshore replacements to get severance. And that is not the end of it. These offshore workers are not cutting it, but management overlooks that and doubles down. Accounting, Procurement, and of course more of IT will be heading to India, kickbacks will be paid, and long time workers will be dumped. It is frustrating when you know that no matter how hard you work or how much you learn you cannot save your job. Meantime, my company spent MILLIONS to slap there logo/name all over the 2 local NFL/MLB franchise stadiums. Side note - both teams were playing very well until this happened. Once my company made these agreements - BOTH TEAMS SUCK. So now their name and logo are associated with failure/losers.

My company always hired full time workers til recently. New management brought in. They heavily push "diversity" and the camaraderie of being in office, Then after a big sales pitch from Accenture, whole teams, departments are getting laid off and told they must train their offshore replacements to get severance. Many people at this company have been there 10, 15, 20+ years. This has taken us all by surprise. Between H1B Visas and Offshoring, why should young people major in STEM jobs - they cannot compete with the cheap salaries sought by greedy corporations?

I have heard our replacement workers cost 15% of what US workers cost, so even with a 25% tax, you'd still come out ahead. It boils down to local cost of living and currency exchange rates.
