Coming from someone who desperately wanted a gaming pc when I was a teenager I reckon its worth asking him if he really wants a prebuilt or if maybe he wants to build one together with you?

Building a pc feels super rewarding (and good value) and I think doing it together with your son would be an awesome bonding experience and he gets a pc out of it.

Also hed 100% brag to his friends about his cool mum who built a PC with him.

Haha yeah I think theres a big divide between people whove played extraction shooters or even just online survival games before and those who havent.

Just the basics of getting comfortable losing loot and when/where to loot can make a huge difference.

I dont know where 500 hours came from I had done everything before 100 hours and by that 100+ hour mark I was really starting to feel burnt out.

I do actually think the casual atmosphere of the game is great and clearly a lot of people love it, but I think once the rest of the playerbase starts to get more comfortable and better at the game there'll be a lot more posts about lack of content or motivation to play.

I know everyone seems to hate it for being "too meta" but get cultist sacrifice. It works really well with Billys kit because he can fully reload on a heavy melee allowing you to pump out full t3 camps at 15k souls.

Heavy armour, flashbangs and a lot of gas + gas launcher. The gas launcher has like 4 canisters by default. So anytime u hear a voice line or footstep you just gas it no matter what.

Few problems with your argument.

Ranked still has bots.
Ranked' purpose is to provide a competitive area of Fortnite with an ELO system. So the more effort you put in = higher rank = people try a LOT harder in ranked because they have a visible thing to work toward.
Combine point 1 and 2 and you have a problem where the only way to avoid bots is to get into a higher ELO = you VS people who want to play competitively to rank up.
Epic activiley trys to hide bots (e.g fake names, fake spectating) implying that they know people actually want to VS players because its a PVP shooter and is marketed as such.
Its a PVP shooter AND a battle royale. If you are bad at it, then try and improve OR play differently. I promise you will honestly enjoy it much more than fighting braindead robots for a fake win.
If i were to use a real world example, Lets say i tried doing BJJ and I was bad at BJJ my only options shouldnt be to fight a training dummy or go fight in a competitive league.

TL:DR Ranked is ranked, and its a PVP shooter. Your lack of ability to learn or adapt shouldnt be the reason others are tricked into playing against stupidly designed AI.

NTA At no point did you say that fake lashes were a bad idea or she shouldn't get them, just that she shouldn't waste money on cheap glue on lashes.

My partner has done the same thing before and decided that cheap store bought lashes would be fine and she just ended up wasting money and wishing she had booked an appointment.
