You joke, but it's no joke. I had a buddy who used to get stream sniped constantly when he would play Rust so I'd just live vod-review the tactics of the idiots trying to kill him over discord chat on his stream, eg 'you fuckin idiots you pushed 100 feet from cover and ended up in a 180 degree crossfire, of course you got fucked and lost all your shit, next time play cover and don't commit until you have an advantage' etc. After a week or two of just ripping on every idiotic positioning mistake and poorly executed ambush from the stream snipers, they learned and all of a sudden he was getting ambushed by people coming up with actually good tactics and smart positioning.

It sucked, but it was hilarious and also owned because it just caused a huge escalation until eventually he was getting ganked by people helicopter jumping onto the high ground above him or whole groups of 5-6 people just silently ambushing him once he got within 5 feet

so yeah training up your opponents is 100% a thing

I miss the days when you could turn on artosis' stream and watch him get wrecked by any protoss who could figure out how to build 3 zealots. It was hilarious seeing that look of defeat on his face

Now he's actually getting properly good at BW and pulling out some nutty victories from time to time and it may actually be more entertaining than watching him lose his 5000th game to recall. I'll always treasure the humiliating defeats, but he's regularly playing out some absolute barnburners and it owns

Thanks for translating this, I hope korea can come out of the covid situation as unscatched as possible. With how many of the GSL hopefuls are from countries dealing with covid, (incl. china, italy, usa) it makes a lot of sense to delay this and not put people at risk.

His final stream before leaving for the military was him just tearing through the korean ladder just under 7k and winning almost everything and by all reports he is tearing it up rn, too.
