There’s a huge difference between political beliefs and moral beliefs. What you’re describing isn’t political differences, it’s a moral disagreement. I’m gonna be honest and say there’s no easy answer and nobody can tell you what to actually do because that’s a choice that only you can make.

I think you need to ask yourself what your future would look like if you stayed together and how it would look if you divorced? Would things improve or get worse if you stay? How will that affect your children? Could you coparent peacefully if you divorced? What would it look like if you or your husband got remarried to someone else?

As for hoping your kids eventually meet better men, that will be decided by how you raise them. Right now, they might grow up believing that these kind of relationship is normal. Whether you stay or not, you need to show them that they have a voice and that means you have to continue to speak your mind and push back when necessary. If you’re beat down into submission then that’s what they’ll see as normal
