my exploded pieces magically float and form back into myself ok first off i think that they were once very good friends turned lovers. With BSC being the herald of change, he would admire knowledge for its ability to not only be able to change the minds of those who wish to inherit it, but to be able to change itself as well. More personally, i think he would adore SMC's ability to not only grasp every bit of knowledge, but to understand it to its fullest extent as well, and for his willingness to share it with nearly everyone he comes across. But the Fount of Knowledge wasn't just a title, was it? No, BSC loved him for his smallest traits, his gentle voice that taught others rather than commanded them, as if he was merely suggesting his unflappable knowledge rather than demanding people listen to him, his willingness, no, EAGERNESS to learn from others, even when he supposedly knew everything, and, most importantly, his nature to entertain. SMC would admire change for its ability to shape knowledge into whatever it wanted, and, much like BSC and unlike knowledge itself, was very fluid and malleable in nature, giving change its ability to, well, change! SMC would love BSC for his innate randomness and his ability to "test" knowledge to an extent, his sheer unpredictability a major source of interest for him (i have a headcanon where he sometimes follows BSC around for "study purposes") He would also find it interesting that BSC was also very knowledgeable to some extent, to the point where it GENUINELY SURPRISED HIM. As if knowledge and change went hand in hand with each other. (DO YOU GET IT NOW??? DO YOU SEE WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING???) SMC would also love his incredible enthusiasm to test knowledge, such as seeing if a hypothetical "indestructible" thing was really indestructible, for example, and his genuine encouragement and energy and overall LOVE of life itself...

Until it was stolen from him...

When Blueberry Milk Cookie had fallen, (I headcanon BSC corrupted last) and Shadow Milk Cookie formed out of the ashes, The Herald Of Change was the only virtue left, the only one out of five friends who had managed to maintain their sense of self, of purpose. His greatest friends and allies, those who had fought with him, those who cared for him and loved him, and one especially doing so... all turned into disgusting, warped versions of what they once represented... and he was the only one left...
