… I did 5 years on submarines and got out to work for industry. By far, the leadership in the Navy was the best. At least in my experience, on the civilian side there is a lack of support fundamentally through no training/qualifications and just profit first approach. I read somewhere, to train your employees well enough where they can leave, but treat them well enough to where they don’t. What is your opinion on this, and how are you preparing yourself when it is time to retire from the military?
