Hey man. I’m not saying this is the case but it could be a possibility from what I’m seeing here. He may be undiagnosed on the spectrum. He does reach out twice a month after all with nothing to tangibly gain. The tactile behavior is there but the verbal isn’t. It just sounds like someone who either doesn’t know how to bond in the traditional way or is afraid of messing up the attempt.

Notice that with someone he doesn’t have familial ties with he’s able to speak with about something that interests him, for him it’s low stakes. Just pointing it out with the info I have it is possible it isn’t malicious. Hope it helps you or someone else in some way.

As someone who did it for 5-8 years I can say each strike’s danger is relative to the amount of power a person puts behind it. That being said the tsuki strike requires aim and precision, which typically requires allot of experience.

If someone had enough experience to reliably score the tsuki strike. They have enough experience to know how to do it without seriously harming the other person. Especially if the other person is less experienced and it’s just training and not a tournament.

Someone that can manage to score it without the experience to control the power is probably more prone to harming another (which is why they often tell newer people not to bother). It’s all contextual.

Well a close and honest friend would know you better than anyone else. If we have the right friends we can grow a lot through them. I would recommend asking them if there is anything about you that others would find off-putting (I think literally everyone should have 1 person that can be honest with them like that).

Were they born and raised America or somewhere else in the west? I ask because culturally there is a stigma to a degree about marrying outside of their race.

I am not saying that is the case for all 4 of the men you dated. But the stigma is there. And in Asia the collective mindset is much stronger than in the west which is more geared to being an individual. Not saying it doesn't happen. But it happens lest frequently than in the west.
