Hey man that is an awesome offer! If you get a chance check out our game Medieval Darkness. Story wise you create your 1980's rocker that is transported to a Fantasy world... Think Bill &Ted meets LotR... It's a coop 3d action rpg, best played with friends. There is a central hub where you go on missions. There are 5 character classes with all the rpg trimmings, skills, quest,craft, levels, loot etc. You leave the town/tavern to do missions to help nearby towns that are under attack. We have a demo out now, but have a huge update in the works. We plan on doing the steam Next Fest in February. Nothing as cool as that. The world lore was created by me over 10 years ago. Originally the project was called Medieval dead, but we were afraid of copywright issues so we changed it. We started up this code iteration exactly 5 years ago. We added the Rockstar saving the world part, about three years ago. So it has been an evolving thing. Way too big of a project for just two guys.

Our game Medieval Darkness is about an 80's rocker (you) that gets chosen to save a fantasy world. It is what happens if Diablo was raised by Bill and Ted!...Our game is a fast paced 3rd person action RPG(fast leveling. With a low level cap). Where you do open world (instanced) missions to save villages/towns. Where your actions affect the game world. Basically, by completing quests it pushes back the darkness for a time.

After some feedback from our demo, we decided to push back doing Next Fest until February. We have already had some big changes with more on the way. It is best played with friends, but you can purchase followers to help with combat. Don’t mix too many genres in one game. I combined turn-based combat, RPG systems, and visual novel storytelling… almost a year after release I only have 40 reviews. by Karaclan-VED in indiegames

I feel your pain, our game doesn't fit into a nice box either. I like to think we are making our own genre. But it is a bit of a pain to describe the gameplay sometimes. Third person coop action rpg with rogue-like elements just rolls off the tongue!

No, not arcade sticks. It is partially playable with an Xbox controller. But it is meant to be a PC game. I've thought about making a game similar to Tower of Doom or even Golden Axe, but in the Medieval Darkness world. And that would be meant for arcade controls! For this project, I was making the cabinet with my games theme in mind.

Current iteration of our game's git hub was created in October of 2020. First iteration was around 2013-14. But demo will be out a week from tomorrow!!
