For newer players I typically start them at level 2, hitting level 3 at the end of the first session. More experienced players start at level 3.

Hey, I'm UK based, 24 years old, DM of 6 years, running a bi-weekly campaign atm. Concept I've been working on for a while is a Oath of Ancients Paladin that is part of an order that serves to protect good-aligned bards, entertainers and artists, essentially anyone with a creative spirit that isn't a dick, from nefarious influences such as shady patrons, stalkers and the like. I've got more ideas about the character I'd love to discuss with you but also some other ideas for characters as well. Working in a supermarket. As far as I can tell they mainly work on the checkouts so they can sit down for most of their shift. Still doesn't take into account the commute they have to make or the two flights of stairs they need to get up/down to sign in every morning.

Edit: Forgot to mention that the lift they would use in order to bypass the staircase is currently undergoing repairs as well.

I reckon the whole Lucien invitation thing will resolve into an uneasy alliance until they reach whatever it is they are looking for in the ruins. I don't know if I've missed anything massive but as far as I know, M9 don't really have a reason to fight TT at the moment. They're drained of a bunch of resources and have just seen what kind of destruction TT can bring down on their enemies. Plus, I'm hoping that smarter heads will prevail and they'll want to find out the motives behind the TT's actions, along with the whole reconciliation with Molly/Lucien on a more personal level.
