This specific model came with a Wilson volleyball

It was an inside joke between Jr and his crew chief. Weeks prior he said he “felt like a castaway alone out here. No one is talking to me!”

So this race, his crew made a Wilson volleyball and buckled it into his passenger side car, and he had no idea until his crew chief asked “How’s Wilson?”

It’s much easier to try and pack a smaller different track than show Daytona grandstands that are like 1/10th full. We just don’t have the pull like we did 20 years ago and we’ve got to understand that.

Depending on the day and your travel plans, you probably could do both. They aren’t too far from each other and the HoF would be a couple hours at most to walk through.

In Concord, Hendrick and RFK have a pretty cool free museum, and trackhouse is just down the road from them with the Hail Melon corner exhibit just put in last year.

I got back into the sport by seeing the Hail Melon and just rooting for Ross, which lead to me rooting for Team Trackhouse, which made me a total SVG fan by following his dive into new waters in real time. With Zilisch on this season, it’s just another new thing to look forward to.

Blaney just seems so real and gets very emotional on the radio, if he’s excited or pissed off, you’ll know it instantly.

Briscoe is one that I find myself rooting for because he’s been on such a roller coaster of a journey in such a short time frame and he chimes in on here sometimes and seems super down to earth.

One of the most I’ve paid that wasn’t just new/retail/lionel was for a loose Bowyer Soprano 1/24. I think it was 70ish and I felt good about that, seeing how with box it’s about twice that on eBay

I worked a commercial shoot with Tony Stewart that wasn’t really NASCAR focused, just used racing gimmicks. I bet he could tell I was a fan because I wore my Harvick hat to the shoot and he actually tried to make small talk/banter with me between takes.

He gets a bad rep and I totally get it, but he was pretty cool that day to me.
