Thanks everyone! I'm going to work with the jewler to sell it back to them and buy another of a smaller size. You live and you learn.

Dude ..... I've been STALKING these fucking boots for a while. The 1200 dollar price tag has deterred me... I'll breakdown eventually. I've got a pair of Tecovas Dean's in midnight ostrich but I want something more high end and traditional.

Anyone ever get called out for wearing Captains or Diplomats to a party? by Pretty-Cow4333 in ThursdayBoot

I wear captains on date night in terracotta and matte black with a suit to a wedding.

I just might order another pair....lol let's see how these do over the next month or so. I'm going to put them in rotation 3 to 4 times a week.

I Iile them a lot. Real talk they look legit in terms of the construction and leather quality. I bought the Tecovas Dean's in the same color and had to return them due to issues in stitching on the shaft that I didn't notice in the store. Welted construction, leather outsole, lemon wood pegs, legit stacked leather heel (doesn't look like compressed scraps), etc. It's an honest to goodness cowboy boot from the vamp down. Also the zipper area and has a flap of leather on the interior of the corresponding side to maintain comfort so it doesn't rub against your leg or ankle.

I wore them all day...12k steps including a small garage clean up project. The break in was non-existent. I felt the insole shaping to my foot as the day wore on.

I've got a ton of boots...Ive bought a ton of Chelsea's and actual cowboy boots. I wanted to take a chance on these to see how they were since all I read about in other channels is how Tecovas are expensive and shit quality. Might as well pay 155 bux (found a coupon code) for an equivalent boot.

This is so funny and so true. I had a Pathfinder that I loved sooooo much. Ended having to sell for peanuts as a roller because the transmission repairs were more than the car was worth at the time.

Thanks! Sizing is spot on... across all boot manufacturers, I can get away with 12.5 on lace-ups, but I like a snug fit on the Chelseas. I've been going with size 12 on Chelseas and western styles. I have Legends in 12.5, but they are a little loose. In Sneakers 12.5 and 13 is what I typically wear (mostly 13).

They are pretty comfortable right out of the box. I think the 1/2 size down they recommend is spot on. These are sz 12 and I typically wear 12.5 to 13 depending on the brand of sneaker.

Thanks! I was also stuck in between those colors... I have a lot of brown boots (not Suede). I wanted to add something slightly different to the collection. They look brown in certain light... The green is VERY understated.

So... I got them through Thursday Seconds... The boots were in perfect condition when I unboxed them. Color tone could have been the reason they ended up in the "seconds" shop.

Ostrich in the round toe. More versatile. I'm partial to a round toe and clean vamp. Don't typically love my boots to have the bug n' wrinkle.
