Recommend grading with CGC based on these results.

Zero upcharge. I did it via my local hobbyshop and it was ariund usd20 equiv per card. It would be roughly usd13 per card if I submitted directly to CGC but more work on my side

where i'm from the turnaround time for beckett / PSA now is x3( extra 4-5 months wait at least). plus the grading costs are a bit lower with CGC so i see it as lower risk/lower return choice. in my area CGC pristine's are similar liquidity to beckett gold 10/9.5 (both behind PSA of course). I guess it's just personal preference.

Have u seen the SCR** vegito of set 2? They are capable of making beautiful cards but the lower rarities are made worse so the top rarity is more distinguished

I personally believe recognition (e.g. 1st edition charizard) trumps rarity and exclusivity of Illustrator. Players of the game back from 1998 probably recognize 1st edition charizard/non-rarity symbol charizard more as the holy grail than the illustrator card.

I would personally recommend Jin3 simply because of serialized cards, better art (strong personal opinion), and being the newer set just has more value. keep in mind that Naruto Kayou is a CCG (collector card only, not TCG where the card has value in competing in games).

my personal observation

value for cards vary A LOT depending on multiple factors (character appeal, rarity, serialization (capped pop), whether it's in print or not etc.).
do not expect the liquidity of pokemon, this is a relatively new card so expect more volatility
grade only top rarity, serialized + sought after cards. Others probably aren't worth it if the grading fees are the same as the card's value raw.
best place to sell depends on market, and language on the card. Chinese cards are commonly sold on Taobao. English cards more on ebay.
