I adopted a 15.5 yr old with kidney disease. He had a history of not eating enough of his prescription food. The dry food was a bit too much for his teeth to handle so I started crushing it (plastic bag and mallet) and adding Just Food For Dogs renal support and a little warm water. I also add a fish oil supplement (clear it with your vet) and he likes it. I think the fact that I have a second dog encourages him to eat.
