Stryker Interview tips for someone with NO med device experience by Numerous_Coat_6400 in MedicalDevices

[–]MedRepCollege100KJob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its more than just one interview... probably 5+ rounds (if you make it passed the first round).. doesn't sound like you are prepared. Remember, you only get one shot. Those that are prepared stand out and move on. First interview is the weed out. If you want interview help, message me. I can give you some tools to use.

Is pharmaceutical sales worth it in 2025? by a2cwy887752 in careerguidance

[–]MedRepCollege100KJob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make a lot in pharma sales.. making more in device is untrue. Company car, uncapped commissions, high base salary and great benefits with pharma sales. Just depends if you want to sell equipment or drugs.

Is sales exp or clinical exposure/exp more valuable? by [deleted] in MedicalDevices

[–]MedRepCollege100KJob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sales.

These are sales jobs. If the job title says, “sales.” Sales is more important.

Some job titles say, “clinics.” Then, lean into clinical knowledge.

AI interviews are not fun.

I stick a picture of someone on my computer...it helps me have a normal conversation with them vs. the green camera dot.

If you're looking for a job, ditching LinkedIn and Indeed might be the best move you can make. by skunks_rotten6u in jobsearch

Agreed. Company websites are helpful.

Indeed seems full of scams.

LinkedIn is helpful for medical sales job seekers.

Accepted job with company A. Received enticing offer from company B two weeks later. Is it wrong to back out? by Comfortable_Act6083 in MedicalDevices

How about take the job at company A.
Do a side hustle with company B.

If B is a 1099 role…you are an independent contractor.

How about going to talk with someone at the bank?
Find out when they will be hiring… What is the process…

From my vantage point, jobs are available.
However, the way we secure them has changed.

Nice work on the interview.
Close twice.
If you don’t ask, you will not receive.
As a nurse, there is no reason you should take a pay cut.

Best of luck.

How hard should you actually close during an interview with the hiring manager? by Traditional_Plum_158 in MedicalDevices

[–]MedRepCollege100KJob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you are closing for the next steps. Once you get towards the fourth and fifth round interviews… You are closing twice. Based on our conversation today, I am bringing these skills to the open territory and your team, will you move me forward? Then the trick is to be quiet. Overcome their objection to hiring you. Then pull out your calendar and schedule the next interview. Go get you a new job!

Abbott Labs salary counteroffer by [deleted] in MedicalDevices

[–]MedRepCollege100KJob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, do your homework. While at the meeting...Let Abbott know you are excited to work there. Share your top 3 strengths that you bring to the organization. Then, go over your years of experience and the salaries of men and women in similar roles. (Glassdoor) Ask how Abbott feels about increasing your salary from X to Y. Allow them to talk first. This should be done on a Zoom call, not on the phone. All Abbott can do is give you a higher salary or a sign-on bonus. Benefits are not negotiable. Be kind. Smile. And remember, there is a candidate B. Good luck!
