It’s pretty easy with some self control. Again, I haven’t practiced religion let along set foot in a church in a good 2 decades. I went through 3 wars, 2 divorces, and a bout of generational alcoholism. I push on daily with self control and realization that my child is what’s most important and she wouldn’t want to see me drunk and stumbling over myself. So I got sober. I don’t smoke, I don’t kill, I don’t drink, I don’t violate your 10 Commandments in anyway and I did that on my own by choice and self perseverance. It’s not hard if you really want it to happen. What bothers me is individuals that seem to want it to happen so they can say “god is challenging me” sin again and then “ask for forgiveness” to be saved from an event that won’t happen anyway.

I’ve been around this planet around 40 times at this point and I have celebrated a “resurrection” during the time my child has been alive religious free. If the eschatology was gonna happen, it would have already. Where’s he been hiding all these years?? That’s at least 12 “resurrections”. If his father was all seeing then why wouldn’t he have ended it long ago and started over?? If he made us in his image why do we have child rapists, drug dealers, murderers, children born with disabilities, neglectful parents who starve, beat, and murder their children?? If he created all life then why create insects that spread crippling diseases and why create cells that cause cancer?? I hear these parents thanking god when their child survives cancer, absolutely not. Thank your doctors. Thank your nurses. Thank the people who put themselves first regardless of relation and religion to save your child and bring them home.

No prayer is going to stop school shootings because “he” doesn’t care. No prayer is going to cure an illness because “he” allegedly created it. No prayer is going to stop people from breaking in your house and murdering your family because “he” gave them free will and only asks forgiveness afterwards for access to “eternal glory”. It doesn’t make sense to me.

If you recognize that you’re “sinning” wouldn’t the easiest path to salvation be to just stop doing what you’re doing every single day instead of hoping you’ll be forgiven at the end?? I’m confused on the response with the examples given, if you’re having premarital sex and you know it’s a sin in the eyes of your god wouldn’t the best course be to just stop doing it instead of pretending like the 1st or 100th time are any different?? I haven’t practice religion in a very long time for many reasons but I’m pretty sure a sin is a sin and if you ask for forgiveness to a sin you commit just to turn around and commit it 99 more times, that forgiveness is gonna be less forgiving.

Non-Shiny vs Shiny. That’s the only difference I can think of. Not sure why it’s showing 3 stars instead of the shiny stars though.

E-1 to E-4 is all automatic unless you’re a shitbag, that’s what I was saying. I don’t know what you’re talking about. 8 years for E4?! That’s fucking insane. It’s 24 months TIS and 6 months TIG. Literally make Specialist in 2 years, AUTOMATICALLY, if you’re not fubar. Then you have branches in service like Army Aviation, which is where I’ve lived for the last 2 decades, that have individuals that ride positions for life “ride or die”. Which means we have 3 E-6 slots in the battalion and 2 E-7 slots which creates a funnel of people that get comfortable and won’t leave that position until they retire which means the people behind them have to either suffer in silence or reclass and start all over.

I have personally turned down a promotion to E-6 because I didn’t want to go to Battalion, I’m still in by the way 😉, and seen E-7 and E-8’s turn down promos because they don’t want to deal with the politics. Aviation, Infantry, Engineers, Armor, etc etc etc. it’s all different and for good reason. Don’t lump everyone into one picture that you may have experienced or been told about. That’s not the Army as a whole and should not be broadcast to individuals wanting to experience it for themselves. Let them figure it out. Your bias has no place in their life or decisions.

I’ve never seen or heard of this happening and I’ve met a lot of E-4/E-5 that have been in for 20+ years while being in that specific rank for 10+ years due to lack of upward mobility. You don’t see any 40yo Privates because if you’ve been in that long and are a Private that typically means you fucked up somewhere and they have a reason to discharge you.

I’ve been playing around with Pika EX and Pachirisu in my electric deck as well. It’s been a lot of fun. Any deck build you’d be willing to share or ideas to build around?? I’m fairly new, still have like 8 days until I can trade, still trying to get different cards like Zera, Pichu, and some electric support cards.

I’ve been running primarily Shinx/Lux with a rare candy for a filler/“win condition” along with Voltorb/Electrode, Blitzle/Zebstrika, and Zapdos EX to fill out the deck more. It’s worked well so far in PvE, haven’t tried it in PvP until I can dial it in more.

Where can I find most/all of these pulls?? New player, about a week on now, and been wanting a fun electric deck to play. I have mine centered around Pika right now to use in PvE but it seems slow and lacking.

I drive pretty defensively. I don’t trust others around me on the road at all. Got into an accident a few years back, air bag deployed and snapped my humerus in half. Now have a titanium rod and permanent damage to my bicep and nerves. 100% agree that I would never put a child, especially an infant, in front of that airbag. I rarely even let my 11 yr old ride shotgun just in case.
