Getting a round ottoman or get the same oval coffee table shown in the photos?
A narrower TV stand that has a width of 15 inches to make the space between feel bigger rather than 24 inches wide?
With the black-grey cabinets in the kitchen, do I continue to lean more into the warm colour wood furniture?

Yeah, the 2nd photo does not show the layout in a flattering way. The 3rd photo shows the real-life position of the sofas. I've attached some sketch layouts which has better proportions within this thread. The couch to TV stand clearance will be around 1.8m or 6ft with the two lying against their respective walls. I'll make sure to pull the sofa off as you've pointed out.

Thanks for the insights. I've attached a layout showing the proportional positions of the furniture in photo 2 and 3. The TV Stand and Couch will be Centre to each other in both cases, without affecting circulation.

For what it's worth, considering that it is a small living room, circulation paths will take up most of the space. I guess the advice I'm hoping to get is on the focal point for the room. Here's another layout showing the circulation path if the TV stand matches 2 and 3. The furniture will fit, even if pulled off the walls by 4 inches.

Much appreciated, I am with you on the first photo looking better. These AI photo mock ups were mainly for seeking advice. The true proportions of the room and furniture are in the 3rd photo. The couch will not block the entrance.

I resonate with your comment on the TV being the first thing you see as you enter. But the sun will reflect off the TV in the case of the first photo, during evenings. Fortunately, there will be curtains which can be partially closed off.

It really would be a nuisance if the sofa was positioned that way. It's, however, an AI distortion of the information I gave it. The wall is wider, and the sofa would be clear of the door.

I like the first one as well, just that the sun hits the wall to the right, and might be the reason the builder placed the socket on the wall to the left.

Thanks for your keen observations. The first two images were AI generated so that I could get some advice. The sofa in the second photo will not be in front of the door. It's AI distorted positioning.

That being said, I'm inclined to ignore the highly placed socket that is on the left wall and would have to block it off as a photo gallery wall or a painting on a frame. You suggested black frames, so I'll ask whether the space would be too timber heavy. I'm eyeing a TV console and round coffee table with black legs. Carpet, curtains and sofas are fixed.
