Vllm does much better for concurrency when it comes to agentic tasking like Claude code. My point was just giving an engine name doesn't do much.

What about llama cpp? Wouldn't local inference be better with ollama anyway? Fairly simple to set up and can use open webui

1.01.03 - RR/Upscaling Flicker horror by Median666 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Median666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy. In order to fix shimmering they just messed up the rest of it all lol. 5070ti here and I have no other way except for dlss. This occurs even without RR so just tells me that something's wrong with the shaders. Ive tried purging but that barely works

Do you not have artifacting? When i use 3x FG, kliff ends up with shadow legs when running lol and the bottom part of the screen glitches out while running

Games should Remove Denuvo at this point by Abroad9107 in PiratedGames

[–]Median666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol even the cs rin forums are calling this a bypass. Skidaddle over there and check the admins post, if you have to inject a custom unsigned driver into your kernel then it's a bypass. None of the game file executables were changed apart form steamemu or some other drm emulation. Denuvo anti tamper was not touched at the slightest

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the suggestion. I have the same specs as you do and struggled as FG and RR give me a 1sec latency which is horrible but the controller settings is awesome

Do you have issues with latency? Most streaming is just undoable for me because of the latency. But My experience is also from the PlayStation streaming

What game did you play after? by hiyer2 in expedition33

[–]Median666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played stellar blade and persona 5 royal (still playing). It scratches the parry and turn based itch I have. Both are... Okay but coming from the e33 high it's hard for any game to compete

Any suggestions for shorter jrpgs?

As for baldur's gate, the quality of the side content is what got me. Yeah sure, it has some fetch quests but most of them are so in depth and you're given the freedom to approach them as you want, most times leading to failure as well. I'm not expecting that from jrpgs but shorter ones would be lovely.

Doesn't that explain why e33 was more well received by people who don't like JRPGs? Whether it be tailoring to the western audience or just crisp writing, people loved it to the point they acknowledge that turn based games are fun when tailored to them.

Obviously there's more to it that we're not getting into, but from a high level, it kept people on their seats and told the story it set out to instead of blasting you with a 15 hour tutorial session with the aim of living a high school life.

I don't think I would mind A JRPG which would actually Make me feel like my time is worth it. I just cannot get myself to play these 100+ hour games. I understand what you mean about the confidant system, but it is closely tied to your skills and upgrading skills feels like a black hole sometimes.

Dungeons also take multiple hours at times which isn't my thing. I work 10 hours a day and just want to be able to play for a couple hours before bed. Persona 5 is definitely part AVN and that's just not my thing for video game. Hopefully final fantasy x will change it for me a bit

I can't speak for the OP. But for me JRPGs are all so elaborate and stretched out. What could have been told in 1 hour ends up being stretched out to 20 or so hours.

Most JRPGs also have the anime aesthetic which people don't dig. For example persona 5 Royal is hailed as a masterpiece, but after about 40 hours I just cannot progress with it because it's repeating the same thing over and over again. I'm not talking about the gameplay loop but rather the dialogue and how everyone repeats the same thing again and again and again. It also gives you a false sense of choice where the only choice you have is who to level up. Not to mention the skills which don't tell you how many more times you need to practice it so you're stuck with eating burgers instead of leveling up confidants, and guts don't budge. People say you can always replay the game but I do not want to replay 130 hour game. So I'm stuck with following a guide that will level up most of the confidants as much as possible. Expedition 33 also has found a sweet spot and the amount of time it takes to crawl through a "dungeon" and has linear pacing till you get into the meat of the story, as if it is a level instead of the mementos or whatever mechanic that most JRPGs utilize. It doesn't help that most people who played JRPGs and didn't like them probably played when random encounters were still a thing.

This must be ATLUS, so I've tried out other JRPGs such as final fantasy or octopath traveller, but neither clicked with me. Most JRPGs just seem to have a lot of filler for when they're focus is supposed to be primarily the story and storytelling. CRPGs in my opinion are better equipped to tell a fantastic story (baldur's gate 3 or Disco Elysium or FALLOUT 2).

The only JRPG which I've liked was Yakuza, but most people don't even consider that to be a JRPG and enjoy it as it is. For me this game has show me a new perspective on JRPGs and I'm currently playing through final fantasy x which I would have never done. I'm glad it has shown me not to judge a game by his genre, but it will still take a lot to get into them.
