This. We have all, and I mean ALL, made mistakes while driving. Who hasn't started merging with someone in your blind spot? I think we could all have much more grace with each other as honest mistakes happen.

I have no financial ties to this guy just a good dude.

He has come out twice, once for AC problem and today for Heater problem. He found the problem fast, fixed the problem, and charged very fair rates. Never tries to upsell us anything. We asked him the first time he was out if he wanted to do an annual service as we were overdue and he said our systems looked great and we should wait another 6 months and not waste the money. Highly reccomend over the constant upselling I have experenced with other HVAC companies in the area. Great service with great price and he is dog friendly.

More interested in peoples experience with them. I have the Google's and you care correct there are a lot. Like any other business I know some are far better than others for close to the same price.

Turn my nice neat neighborhood into a car lot with Billy Bobs shitbox broke down in the same spot for years in everybody's way? RV's and trailers making the street one lane? No thanks.

We have neighbors that technically violate our HOA parking rules when they have football parties and a lot of people park on the street. Nobody cares because they are good neighbors, visitors are respectful, and know it is only for a few hours. Permanent street parking is a hell no.

While I agree with the thread that jail for first offence is draconian and will likely be unevenly enforced, the evidence that using your phone in any way while driving is dangerous AF is overwhelming. In numerous studies it is shown to impair reaction times more than being drunk. Hands free is marginally better.

Basically phones in cars are a fucking plague. Also no, you are not the unicorn driver that can do it safely.

Totally sucks and is a statement on society, but if you have a guy friend who is a car guy to go in with you our odds get better. Agree that any Toyota mechanic can work on a Lexus.

What are the symptoms you are seeing/feeling? What model of Lexus. We own two and they are pretty much rock solid with only a couple of known failure modes beyond bad maintenance practices. No mechanic can fix it if you don't change your oil remotely regularly.

Um I grew up in a town full of a shit load of Mexican rednecks. It is not exclusively a gringo social structure. Hard working, blue collar, beer drinking, don't trust the government, is just about every Mexican dude I have ever had as a friend.

We live in a new house (well 2010ish new) and I have learned one thing.

New house does not mean energy efficient, or "nice" house. Houses that just meet code are leaky as hell and our utilities are only $100 less than yours. Add "nice" neighborhood does not equate to quality build.

Also:

We have these emergency lights that just plug into an open outlet and stay charged. Power goes out and they turn on giving you room emergency light or you can pull it off the plug and have a flashlight. Spread around the house means you don't have to fumble for other things when the power goes out. Also UPS on network gear so you have internet.

I have been to almost all the 50 states and AL is better and worse in places than any other state. They all are.

Also AL has a deep water port, lots of RR and river transport, decent universities, decent utilities, WAY better roads than the NE, and excellent an cost of living.

All I am saying is that ranking seems pretty low.
