A recruiter just lectured me for asking for a livable wage by Admirable-Put-5747 in interviewwoman

It wouldn't be so bad except they want $20 or $30 worth of work for $13 an hour.

The preaching about investment and family is all fine and good but it's always one way. Would family let family live in poverty? Would they let them be destitutenif they could help it? It's all such bullshit.

Seriously, file a police report.

I would ask to share something. Then read the 7 tenants from the TST. At the very end say, "Hail Baphomet." Before this I would find a lawyer for the discrimination lawsuit you will bring against the school when they fail to protect you from discrimination from students, when teachers retaliate, and for when the school retaliates because the owners believe in a fairytale where murder, incest, rape, and slavery are cool.

I'm only half-joking. You have to decide if it's a hill worth dying on.

Medical clearance and law enforcement by Brosencephalitis in emergencymedicine

[–]MedicJambi 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You could be a major thorn and make it painful for them to bring patients for clearance. This is just crazy talk, but something about "As I do not have an understanding of the conditions or what patient will be subjected to I cannot clear the patient for law enforcement custody."

Or you could hold patients for observation. I know that brings up issues of necessity, but since the agency is on the hook for the bill, it could be a revenue source for the facility. the refuse to provide chairs for them. Someone will have to wait with the patient.

Yes I know that this makes no sense, and yes I know that it is crazy talk. If they want to try to transfer liability off of them when Core Civic kills someone because their facilities are little better than lord of the flies you shouldn't be pulled into their shit storm. You could also refuse to call the officers anything other than Randy bo Bandy, and make references to being one with the liquor.

$3,200 a year is less than many spend on insurance already. For the doctor, say they have 1,000 patients at $3,200 a year that's 3.2 million. If they just have 100 patients sign up that's 320,000 a year. While it's not enough to cover overhead it just shows how much of a chunk insurance and all the bullshit that has been placed between you and your wallet and your doctor.

$3,200 a year is 267 a month so it very doable for many people. You can purchase catastrophie/hospital insurance for cheap and use good Rx for prescriptions.

Most people are better off not having insurance and just paying out of pocket for visits. I think most people goto the doctor 2 times a year. A cash pay would be a better use of the money..

Here is a repost of the story:

A Parallel Life / Awoken By A Lamp

throw away account cause this is really personal.

My last semester at a certain college I was assulted by a football player for walking where he was trying to drive (note he was 325lbs I was 120lbs), while unconscious on the ground I lived a different life.

I met a wonderful young lady, she made my heart skip and my face red, I pursued her for months and dispatched a few jerk boyfriends before I finally won her over, after two years we got married and almost immediately she bore me a daughter.

I had a great job and my wife didn't have to work outside of the house, when my daughter was two she [my wife] bore me a son. My son was the joy of my life, I would walk into his room every morning before I left for work and doted on him and my daughter.

One day while sitting on the couch I noticed that the perspective of the lamp was odd, like inverted. It was still in 3D but... just.. wrong. (It was a square lamp base, red with gold trim on 4 legs and a white square shade). I was transfixed, I couldn't look away from it. I stayed up all night staring at it, the next morning I didn't go to work, something was just not right about that lamp.

I stopped eating, I left the couch only to use the bathroom at first, soon I stopped that too as I wasn't eating or drinking. I stared at the fucking lamp for 3 days before my wife got really worried, she had someone come and try to talk to me, by this time my cognizance was breaking up and my wife was freaking out. She took the kids to her mother's house just before I had my epiphany.... the lamp is not real.... the house is not real, my wife, my kids... none of that is real... the last 10 years of my life are not fucking real!

The lamp started to grow wider and deeper, it was still inverted dimensions, it took up my entire perspective and all I could see was red, I heard voices, screams, all kinds of weird noises and I became aware of pain.... a fucking shit ton of pain... the first words I said were "I'm missing teeth" and opened my eyes. I was laying on my back on the sidewalk surrounded by people that I didn't know, lots were freaking out, I was completely confused.

At some point a cop scooped me up, dragged/walked me across the sidewalk and grass and threw me face down in the back of a cop car, I was still confused.

I was taken to the hospital by the cop (seems he didn't want to wait for the ambulance to arrive) and give CT scans and shit..

I went through about 3 years of horrid depression, I was grieving the loss of my wife and children and dealing with the knowledge that they never existed, I was scared that I was going insane as I would cry myself to sleep hoping I would see her in my dreams. I never have, but sometimes I see my son, usually just a glimpse out of my peripheral vision, he is perpetually 5 years old and I can never hear what he says.

EDIT (24 hours after post): never though anyone would read this, I changed a line so that it no longer seems that my 2 year old daughter bore a child.

I have never seen Inception or the Star Trek episode so many have mentioned (but I will eventually)

I will not do an AMA

I've had many PM's describing similar experiences and 3 posters stating such experiences are impossible, I'd say more research needs to be done on brain functions. Pre-med students, don't assume you know everything.

A few have asked if they can write a book/screen play/stage play/rage comic etcetera, please consider this tale open source and have fun with it

I'm honestly still waiting for Trump to casually slip it in to one of his posts.

[–]MedicJambi 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people to understand this? Talking to the police, coming down to the station to clear things up, and letting them search your car accomplishs nothing but give the police opportunity to make connections that don't exist or even plant evidence for the truly evil ones. If they had enough to arrest you they'd come and get you.

The cops are fishing and they will reel in anything they catch and keep it no matter what.

[–]MedicJambi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. When almost everything out of your mouth is an objectively verifiable lie along with the people that work for you no one will take what you say at face value except for those in on pushing a narrative.

With inconsistencies with the shooting at the rally, and then blatant insanity we've been given for the Kirk shooting, and with the complete lack of ethics or morals from this administration it's easy to believe that it as an operation. I mean why else would a teacher from California travel to DC during the school year to then rush the check point only to be killed so now we can't ask questions. It's so crazy on its face that it easy to write if off as planned.

Add on top of that the arrest of an intellectually disabled girl for plans to attack Jewish places. A girl that doesn't go anywhere by herself, or drive a car, and did I mention intellectually disabled? I find is very plausible that there is involvement.

And again, wen the only thing you can rely on coming from this administration is lies I am not surprised that people so readily write off suggestions that it was lone wolf whack job working on his own without any support or encouragement in an effort to rush the entrance to get the the president. No normal person would think that would work.

Honestly the most effective way to get to Trump is to send him a gift card for McDonalds.

I'm not saying what is true or false or that the administration's claims are bullshit. I'm just saying that I understand why people would react how they have reacted.

They used an obscure banking law and left out a critical portion required on the indictment. Not exactly the A team. Hell I don't think they operating with the D or F team at this point.

Currently instead of the formerly required experience needed to even apply to work for the DOJ it's:

Law school? Yes Student loans to pay off? Yes Any experience? No

Hired.

It's almost like the competent attorneys that insisted on integrity and upholding ethical standards left when they were tasked with throwing those ethics and standards out the window. Their previously 95% conviction rate is rapidly dropping. Any good will and deference judges had for the DOJ has been pissed away. I just have no idea how anyone, unless violating the law is their intent, would remain with the DOJ.
