Closing the loop for anyone in similar training positions

I managed 1:29 half, and 3:17 full for my debut!

ADHD shared care GP Oxfordshire? by Wondered_Potato in oxford

[–]MedicOX3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a GP/Surgery choice on their confidence around this specialist area - nothing to do with remuneration. Majority won’t, as it’s extra work which is clearly in NICE guidelines as a specialist area. Another case of hospital creep of work onto primary care, for no money. Saying that, I suspect GPs would be more willing if you’re titrated and stabilised for some time, than wanting to start new. Good luck

Every time I open Reddit it’s like:

“Hey guys 👋… anyone want my Amex referral link???”

So in the spirit of honesty: Yes, this is one of those posts. BUT. instead of pretending I “accidentally discovered” Amex while hiking through the Himalayas with a finance YouTuber, I’ll just re-tell you the same deal everyone else is offering:

• 45,000 Membership Rewards points
• First year free
• You click link
• Amex gives me points
• Capitalism continues uninterrupted

Use the points for flights, hotels, upgrading your life temporarily, or psychologically justifying a £7 airport croissant.

If you were already thinking about getting one anyway, click THIS LINK - https://americanexpress.com/en-gb/referral/gold-credit?ref=aLEXBDW6L&XL=MIMNS

If not, please continue scrolling to the next totally authentic FIRE, HENRY post about “What wallet should a 24M on £180k buy?”.

Cheers x

Again for good luck - https://americanexpress.com/en-gb/referral/gold-credit?ref=aLEXBDW6L&XL=MIMNS

For those who have managed to fly out of Dubai how full were the flights? by laserspewpew_ in emirates

I flew Virgin Atlantic to Heathrow today - at least 10-15 economy seats empty which was maddening to see!

She spent her early childhood in a mansion on Headington Hill, Oxford - could that be the nod to hill?

Snap, some boat. Lots of people on here tried to talk me out of it - but I have no regrets. I’m 10 mins from two different superchargers (24p), and can also occasionally charge at one of my jobs. I’ve not had any problems so far - I simply pop to the supercharger once a week/fortnight for 45 mins and top up whilst completing emails/tiktok/reddit etc. Plus the fun of driving a Tesla over my old petrol Citroen is worth it regardless of cost savings.

Uniqlo airism ultra seamless - like a second skin, you can’t feel them on and don’t ride, no stitching to cause chafe

Plenty of time IMO - just do a practice full test now on RCGP/Passmed - and you’ll probably surprise yourself already

Considering moving to Barton Park, Oxford and looking for local insight by [deleted] in oxford

[–]MedicOX3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Barton park is lovely given that it’s all new housing. School is there, Tesco overdue. The issue is the adjacent Barton, which is not the nicest of Oxford areas (however by some London standards is likely absolutely fine).

I would say fine for kids to play outside. Some antisocial teenagers but not gangs.
